Flysurfer quiver question
OK, I'm looking to put together a matched 2 kite quiver to get boarding figured out this summer. As you can see from my sig, my quiver is all over
the place, 'cuz I love to experiment. I weigh 127, and I'm a rookie on water.
Having flown Slingshot Turbo Diesel 2's, I'm inclined to look at a 9 and 14, or maybe 7, 11, and 14. Our winds are usually in the 12 - 20 mph range
and gusty in Minnesota. Slingshot is used a lot around here, and demos are easy to find.
I'm interested in Flysurfers.. What would be a good FS quiver? And, Psycho III or Pulse II? I'll be frank, the price is a factor vs inflatos, but I
like foils...

i like mine
If you're looking for a kite that most closely resembles the feel of an inflato then the pulse is the one, but since you're used to a variety of foils
that might not bother you! I personally love the pulse2 though... more responsive direct feel, nice small bridles that don't tangle... Try one if you
can! Corpus Christi Atomickiteboarding has all of them available to test (pulses psychos and speeds!)

domdino -
For my general windrange (average 12-20), weight (127 lbs), and considering I'd use these on snow as well with skis, would your 8-12 quiver be good,
or would 10- 14 be better?

You're really light so i reckon the 8 12 would work well for you! The 12 would be your most used though, hmm... i guess if 12-20 is your windrange
then maybe the 10-12 would be better... the 10 will take you easily up to 30mph i reckon... i like riding in strong winds with smaller kites but with a 12-20 windrange i reckon a 10/14 would work better than 8/12 because i
have a silverarrow when the wind drops below 14mph!

PUlse quiver
I have like domdino an 8 and 12 pulse II. I used the 8 for snowkiting yesterday and had an unbelievable time. Avg winds 15-25. I was airborn
whenever i wanted and weigh 170. I think for you size and weight I would go 8m pulse2 and 12 pulse2, The 8 would be your higher wind and snow
kite, and the 12 could be your lighter wind kite. If you really want a light winder then get a SA 15 or 19. I think getting an 8 and 10 is too
short an interval for first quiver

Thanks for the advice you guys.
After having flown an 06 Cabrinha Switchblade, and liking it, I now have '06 Xbow 7m, Switchblade 9m, and Switchblade 12m. With pump and 2
bar/linesets in great condition, for about 2/3 the price of a new Pulse 2 12 m. A lot of overlap, but I have a nephew who is becoming a solid kiter,
and we both want to get board skills this summer. I generally fly a size down from him whenever we go out, 'cuz he bests me by about 50 lbs and 4" in
height
For the record, I'd have loved to afford a 2-kite Pulse 2 quiver. Maybe in a year or two when some used ones come on market, or someone actually has
one in the area I can test fly before I drop the bucks.
