Bullet or Blade III for me?

I'm a beginner to traction kites (former hang glider instructor, R/C gliders kind of guy). Looking to jump and get airborn again. I'm 150lbs. About to buy a Bullet 3.5 as my first for jumping, but my heart tells me to go for a Blade III 4.0 and deal with the learning curve. Will a Bullet 3.5 or 4.5 feel like a pig for jumping in a year?

Thanks in advance,

GR

A bullet is not designed to produce lift. Blades are. 'nuff said. You should be allright with a 4m kite to start with as long as you take it out in light winds to start (5-9mph). Its not hard to learn to fly a power kite, it is however hard to learn to control a power kite while under power. Thats the hardest transition for most people is learing to still control it while being drug along the ground. Get the blade if you want to jump.

Having just purchased a Blade III 4.0 as my first 4 line and flown it for about 6 hours now I totally backup what scoopy has just said. I have also flown a 3.5 Bullet alongside the Blade and the two cannot really be compared. The Blade has tons of lift and pull. The Bullet seemed quite tame in comparison. The guy whose Bullet I flew also thought the same after having a go on the Blade.
