Sod farm buddies
Well I am kinda butt hurt here. I think we lost our sod farm buddys to Ocean beach! Every since they had a great day there I have not seen them at all
at the sod farm. I won't mention any names Dan, Doug, Dagon. The 3 D's hey thats a cool name. Anyway, I guess I need to buck up and drive the 2 hrs
instead of the 40 min. and try the beach. I have never flown on the beach so I can't compare it must be good because now sod is second hand.:sniff:

Beach winds are special. They just pull like your kite is hooked to a train. Perfectly steady. You can fly you kite in higher winds than you would
inland because you can usually relax a little more if the winds are onshore. The kite is completely predictable.

yeah the beach is great especially ocean beach on a friday...we were out there and it was around 17mph...and then this huge storm front moved in and
soaked us...then it was clear and the wind picked up to about 20 mph...but it was still do-able to fly the 4.5....I must have hit at least 35 on the
beach at one point on friday. I was pacing the traffic ....and it seems they have started harvesting the sod farm....

Yea they did. But it seems they alway's save that east end for us! The sprinklers were all moved west so we had the whole east end open today. Lot's
of room. We had a killer day today wish you were there. 27-30mph wind.

The beach is the best, I always prefer it and in the spring the best winds are around. Come summer and fall I will be at the sod farm, but during the
spring nothing beats the sand.
Sand is much more forgiving too, you can learn a lot

There is no wind like that clean beach wind.
I will be at OB on april 19 I'm hoping for a low tide and no people. I might even be able to get there on the 18th also, just depends on how the day
goes. Hope to see someone there.

Hey guys, next week would be awesome to head to OB. Has anyone looked at the tide charts? Nice negative tides, lowest in the month all week long...
4/6 6:14 AM -0.5
4/7 7:00 AM -0.9
4/8 7:49 AM -1.1
4/9 8:43 AM -1.1
4/10 9:43 AM -1.0
Nothing like an early morning run with low tides and an empty beach.
