Depending on what kite you start out with, 5 meters will be plenty to jump with. I personally wound not want to jump with anything smaller because of
the lift and drop sysdrome you get with smaller kites. The only thing about starting with a kite that is 5m, is that you need to take it out in light
winds until you get used to how the kite behaves and the power you are dealing with.
If you want to jump, there are only realy a few good choices without getting into de-powerable kites. (much more money) Blades and Begos both make
excellent jumping kites. I would recommend starting with a Flexifoil Blade 3, 4.9 meter, or a Macpara Bego 400, both have about the same power. The
400 is a little faster through the air, and is more smooth whereas the blade is more on/off power. Im the USA Distrubutor for Macpara, let me know if
your interested, and Ill point you to a dealer.
