Climbing Harness Q/R system

Hey I just got one of my friends into kiting and have him talked into coming down to NABX. He has picked up a NPW5 4.8 and has Tapers 3.5 Profoil on it's way but he has no harness to use. I am going to loan him a buggy of mine and I remember the first time I spent buggying with out the relief of a harness and don't want him to be worn out the first day. He does a lot of mountaineering and has climbing harnesses but I don't want him out without a good reliable Q/R system set up. He doesn't want to put a lot of Money into it cause he will soon be ordering a kite harness.

Any good ideas?:puzzled:

You might find some useful information and pictures on this PKF thread as well: http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=3935#pid239...

Cheers!

EDIT: By the way, you'll notice from my pic on that thread that I'm not using a captive carabiner to attach the Wichard QR shackle to the climbing harness. I intended to, but the Wichard I bought was too small to accomodate the biner I had. I bought the 2673...this 2773 might have been better.

My kite bag:
Pansh Legend 3.0m, 4.5m (for sale $60)
Ted\'s ProFoil 1.0m / 1.5m / 2.5m
Prism Nexus dual line
Premier Parafoil-2 single line

I made a QR out of theline and tube. It holds great but mine had the trouble of working its way undone. I spent the 20$ for the Wichard QR shackle and i cant be happier. The shackle just seams a little saffer to me

HQ Symphony 2.2
Pansh Blaze 3M
Pansh Legend 5.5M

Thanks everyone, but after looking at our options it just seams better to get a cheaper kite harness with a spreader bar. Thought we had a line on one from Taper123 but it won't fit.
