Pop or float?

Hey, so as you all know, my dream is to hit the skies and fly away. And I am for sure a kite jumper at heart. So here is the question....which of my kites have pop and which have float?

3m=CRAP FOR ANYTHING!!!
5m=Not sure yet, but prob no jumps
5.5m NPW9b= No pop, lots of float on the hill jumps
8m= Good amount of pop, some float
17m= Havent gotten up more than 5 feet w/ this damn thing yet!!! And its been out in 15mph!!!!

I will also be getting a 14m Naish Boxer (original, not boxer 2) (many thanks Steve McDonald) what can you tell me about this kite?

Thanks,
NPW

It looks like you answered your own question with the descriptions of the kites you gave.

17m would have the most float. The others-it depends on how each one flys.

Which one has the most pop? I tend to have issues getting off the ground. I am 130lbs.....ive seen people twice my size go way higher with the same kites.

Maybe the 8m Pansh. Since I don't know exactly how the homemade ones are constructed I can't comment. I would think one of the 5 meters has more "pop" or snatching ability

In my mind POP can't be properly had without traveling ? It is when you brake contact and get launched. With a pendulam jump you sort of swing away more than edge and pop ??

I think that this is the trouble you are having with your arc. Those kites do what they do best when traveling. They kind of suck for static stuff ???

low aspect fast kites greatly improve popping! You need to be able to swing the kite back really fast to get the pop out of it.... that being said i was out on my silverarrow yesterday and i just turned it pulled the bar in, and i went up 20 feet and hung around there for about 20 seconds :) that things just silly though

Ummm i've lost interest in typing :)
