O.K... I'm sure this kite has plenty of reviews, but I enjoyed it and felt I'd share...

Dlish89 and I went out flying on Wed. the 16th and had a good ol time... all static, so you know where I'm coming from... unsure of wind speed, Dlish might have a good guess...

He brought a HQ Beamer III 3m with him and he gave me a go at it a couple times...

Very stable and reacts to pilot input very well... it can and will turn very fast if asked too... has great speed and surprising pull not much lift IMO... I'm thinking this would be an excellent kite for buggies.

Maybe Dlish will give us his opinion/review also...

I love that kite, it's turned out to be a great kite for me. However i too have found it doesn't have much lift. i've had this thing out in various winds, even in higher winds and i haven't gotten that far off the ground maybe 3ft at the most? It is a great quality kite though, lotsa pull. i weigh about 170lb.

A 3 meter kite isn't a kite you want to jump with anyway. :puzzled:
I see this kite as one to learn on and then one to keep you safe in very high winds once you progress. I find these kites one of the easiest to fly like a stunter. Real easy to stop and twirl in almost any part of the window. Good fun

I liked it. I added it to my bag for now. I will say the backpack is nice, but big and bulky. It takes alot of room in my kite bag. It was a good stable kite and predictable even in unpredictable winds. I would say the winds were 12-15mph with gusts from 0-20mph definately not the best conditions. I like the fact that it has no lift from a buggy persective and it did pull solid. Definately a great kite for beginners coming complete with everything and good instructions. There is no way a beginner could go wrong with this kite. Also its definately something they will NOT outgrow either. I will be at OB this weekend so I will be able to get a better idea of what this kite is all about. Will it replace my Pansh's and was it worth twice the money :puzzled: I should be able to give an answer to that after this weekend.

I'm a big fan of the Beamer. It has its place in my quiver for the very reasons snow.....er uh bladerunner said. The thing is in a buggy and I imagine a board, the beamers thick stable profile won't pull around for upwind performance like a racier kite will, but that isn't it's design objective I'm sure. I noticed that it had a significant amount of side load while working in the buggy. It was very confidence inspiring to be able to put the kite exactly where I wanted it. I didn't have to pull the kite high for a turn, but could just spin it around at about 10:00 high and send it the other way, sliding the buggy around about the time it started pulling hard.

I love mine. I am a beginner and it has been a very forgiving kite, but still lots of fun and lots of pull.
