and another photo set

I've posted a set of my photos from NABX up on the web. You can view individual shots or select slideshow.

http://flickr.com/photos/18783368@N00/sets/72157604634610439...

The slideshow option is in small grey type up in the right corner above the thumbnail images. They are arranged in a bit of a progression with comments below some photos (still need names of a few people in a some shots).
Sorry, most of the actual buggy action shots were from early in the week of Jim and Ziggy - after that I was in the buggy and not really taking many photos of people riding. But there are a lot of other people shots here. Thanks to Melissa for being a good sport on allowing a really bad photo of her to go up (I'm just saying this because people from Texas carry guns ... and clown bikes)

Hey thanks, Rob V. is miles beyond my photo skills. I'm an illustrator and freelance photo retoucher so I just take a lot of photos, ditch at least half and then spend a little time doing some basic cleaning and cropping on my shots. I'm usually working on much higher quality photos than the ones I can shoot for myself. I just like taking and sharing pictures of friends having a good time, a Wicked Good Time.

Mark My good Man ! I want to tell you personally that it's people like "You" that make me return year after year. Thanks for your help & the big laugh with ya pics. Because you said my Phantom 15 lines and depower strap was cool when you flew for me, I was able two fly it twice, You would have seen how I earned the name Cr@sh ! Just kidding, people paniced when it went up though .Turns slower than I'm use to with handles but "Very" stable !This weekend is rain so the video clip I'm doing for the goof should get posted .I got you going right at me and at the last second ,you turned,he he .... then caught you and kite faiding away .I don't think it was Paul,Aj or Rob ? pretty sure it was you and man ,It was sweet to catch on film ,you'll see it soon.Glad you all got home safe unlike Dave & Jason but they still had fun .can't wait till next year so trying to squeeze the wife for another solo back there soon.Flight kills me but everything else is cheap. You should have seen the faces of the car rental when I returned the white or should I say brown convertable. He he !I turn on the ac and blow dust just to see what they say and still, No cleaning charge. I didn't say anything about the flat tire I replaced. .....ah...the fun ....till next year...Thanks Man !

Hey Crash
Yah, right on about people helping people out there - that's what it's all about. Having a great time with everyone - loads of good stories again this year - too bad we had to leave before the last day. If you ever have questions about the kite set up just fire off an email - there are probably people close by you that can check the set-up.
Airfare is going higher and weight limits going lower - getting to the point where it's cheaper to buy another buggy and leave it in a locker in Vegas.
The cars are pretty cruddy looking when we take them back, we did a quick car wash but inside looked beat.
Take care bro - hope to see next year or somewhere sooner? I know a couple of times I was screaming toward a blocart on converging courses - going for the deep impact - then did the big dodge before getting too close, I'll keep an eye out for a vid, sounds sweet!

Yes hopefully somewhere sooner. Aj is somewhat close and I should see him at wildwood maybe. I showed the wife the post about the locker idea and she's for it regarding her junk, chairs ,clothes ect. I'd like a nice tent to store. how cool it would it be to have alittle tiki bar like in panels to assemble.before I left for trip there was this catolog my daughter showed me with this cool kiddy pool like thing with a palm tree in the middle, would be great for a cooler or a bath for the guy who liked washing from one. I payed $170 extra with my bags and they even crushed a brand new helmet and bent my blokart too. CEO's get raises while the airlines abuse the public like making them sit on runways and pay dearly !I guess every public service is like that ? That event was too much fun so there wasn't much anyone could do to get me bent out of shape .Funny ,how come I had the sniffer by myself and everyone else on line just went threw the metal detector.glad that thing doesn't wiff the funny tobaco or I really would have had an expencive trip.

I agree ,can't waste good wind thats why i'm the only dummy out when we get hurricanes and storms.Your not the guy on the surfboard in 15 foot surf when Andrew blew in right ? He He...... I borrowed this kids board when on vacation in florida during Andrew.Had to buy it cause I snapped it in half when I came down on it in a big swell. I was wondering when you got to lake cause I did see you everyday on the Playa .Cinco de mayo, Mida ,do getay de jellba ! Biya !

We should have gone over to Mojave for a couple of trips as well - spent too much time sitting waiting for wind early and mid day.
Are you guys talking about Wildwood when the kitefest is on late May? Haven't buggied there since an AKA convention closer to ten years ago and buggying was fantastic. I've heard that there are more buildings etc along the boardwalk - is buggying still as good or would there be any restrictions in May - just keep away from people areas?
I think we can make it down in about 9hrs - might be worth going back to Wildwood (sounds like a song .... "going back to Wildwood")

Yeah ,it's the kitefest and were not too far from the convention center . There's room to buggy "IF" the winds are off the water.Unless you,ve got tires for the loose sand ,it's wide but most years we've had great runs up and down the shore.Yep, Development everywere you go ,even Ivanpah has the sell out with open space. I'm not sure of dates yet but you'll have a blast either way .One year I didn't even bring a buggy or kite and threw friends ,Still had a great time buggying and the boardwalk. I will say the thug's or gangs are getting bad there and some of the cars the kids trick out there cost more than my house....Funny how one year I left my keys stuck in the trunk of my Blazzer and they didn't catch it ,the truck was loaded with all my stuff too. I was real lucky to find it still there in the morning .By the boardwalk and kite fest, police presance and remoldeling the roads were done well and very safe but I wouldn't float around some areas there unless in a group.Sad .Went to CVS with wife and saw this group of bloods smacking this girl around that had a kid in her arms and already had two black eyes ,maybe 14 15 years old .If I was parent ,that kid would be part of the parkinglot pavement..Anyhoo ,the place has a cool hotel ,plenty of sunshine & fun and yes we can buggy there.... I heard AKA had problems getting insurance back a few years but we've been still going a few times a year. Maybe Glenn Padro can make this event AJ.....wait ,it's not squirrels in the attic ,now it's bears wondering in your yard Glenn . he he !

Hurray ,get driving so you can finish all the bugs or tweeks to get perfect .make a clip of how many hours restoring and the first drive .I just brought a vcr tape to transfer to dvd with me swimming with sharks in the bahamas .I forgot all about it and came across the tape last night .pics or video will allways be there but my Memory ?????.......I just got a vaporizer so now it's worse with the funny tobaco ya know ? Getrdone & move to the next passion before we get too old Man ! I hear Bill gave ya a call and were on for a get together with the crew soon .I'll cover the hooha we have at Floyd bennet airport and put the word out ,I was sad to hear after seasons upon us wildwood, jones and a few other beaches are off limits to kite buggy's.I still have Lido beach after the lifegards leave the chair. I'm on the board of directors at Floyd bennet flying club and I'm getting Sanitation to regulary sweep and fill some rutts on runways .I made friends with the NYC heli police and they can even take my camera for pics of all us tooling down the runways. It is now Three runways conected in a triangle and blocked off from any traffic or cars.Any direction the wind blows you'll have a runway and theres days where we can slingshot and fly around all three without tacking. Fran and Jason along with myself were talking about a pow wow at FB cause you were not able to make NABX, Just Give Mom a hug and say Hi to sis and if she's in town ,Like last time we met ,bring her . I never got to ask her how she liked Ivanpah in 06. Enjoy your dinner and I call tonight Speedy.......did ya catch the new movie yet ?

Guys,
I am up for some sailing fun for sure. I am almost better, even though the separation is still very obvious, got most of my strength and flexibility back. Fran and I are up for a trip to FB or Wildwood, or even having a get together in Brigantine by Fran's crib.
I am awaiting shipment of new wheels, tires, bearings and tubes. (gonna put in the Dyna beads and have 2 full sets ready to go)
I did not get enough sailing in @ NABX due to the injury, only put on @ 100 miles.....I am jonesing to get my new Blokart some air time. Especially the 5.5 M sail.
Keep me posted, I am there. Also have a new buggier from Philly that wants in on the action, his name is Joe Dillon. Best to get it done before the season at the beach locations.
See you soon.

Great your feeling alittle better Jason ! did I hear ya right when you said it happend before ? I hope no surgery this time .Sure ,blokarting or buggying can happen anytime you would like at FB or Jones beach .If the tides out and south of the water .Lido beach has got to be the most fun out of the places I hit so far. Ivanpah is up there but and a few others but nothing comes close to miles of shoreline and sounds & smells of the ocean .I 've had honkin times at FB and you guys are wellcome anytime just tell me what works for Fran,Fritze,Al,Chris,Glenn,Bill, yourself and the rest of the crew . Aj wants to go to wildwood and i was kicking the dates with Tom and Andrew but nobody has a set plan .I don't work so you know I can go anytime but for you guys ,the sooner the better and I'm hoping you guys don't just show up once. theres plenty of time over the summer and seeing how many guys come out on weekends with us now ,just gets better each weekend.Don't worry about permits or anything just tell me it's cool and I'll make sure we have shade seating and food cause I didn't like the idea last time you and fran came .I was very busy but when I showed later in the day I was totaly bugged about how everyone was sittin on the barracade wall.Theres restrooms ,a nice cafatieria at the aviator blgd and were set up better for our hobbys there so just give me a yell what weekend sounds good .How come your is not into blokarting or kiing,I know your son goes racing the cars with ya right !Tell your buddy and I'll tell a few more people about coming down to FB or wildwood ect.Lets get it together soon like you said cause I spoke with glenn last night and he's itching about getting out too.Tell me more about Brigantine by Fran, was it a beach ? Stay well and stay in touch .TTYS Jason !
