PKD Brooza II

I am thinking about buying one or two of these kites for bugging and want to know how they are? :flaming:

Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

Hopefully Pablo sees this because I know he'll rave even more than I will. I was out on the Brooza today in the kind of wind that you have to give even less than no brake line and all but run backwards to get the kite up but once it was up as long as I kept it moving I was able to get a good forearm workout. This thanks to the nice, tight, wingtip brake turns it gives me. The wind picked up (it was forecasted which is why I went out) and she tugged me all over the place like a truck.

Gust handling on skis this winter was great. Stability was great. Relaunch is super easy. Hot launches great thanks to reduced intake holes in the LE - it takes a second to fill up but you're past the powerzone when it does so it's an easy launch no matter what. I'm pretty sure that if you want to freestyle with it it'll let you. I have seen loads of people raving about bugging with them.

AND it's a super cool looking kite! "Sexy" was the word used by a fellow kiter - a Flysurfer devotee through and through.

I'll second the vote for Brooza's in a buggy, for all the reasons Macboy gave. And fun in high winds on skis, too.

I have 3 Brooza 1's, all picked up from Pablo over the last year or so. Same as Brooza II's minus the AOA adjustment knots, dirtouts, and a a couple other little items. Impeccable workmanship. They are the foundation of my high wind buggy quiver, and excellent in inland, gusty conditions. Some day I plan to fill out the set with a 5.5 and 7.5 m.

I agree about the Graghics being great on these kites !
I have the Brooza 1 and think the adjustable bridle will be a big improvement. Mine works well in gusts but I find it a bit lifty at speed in high winds. It would be nice to dial it down.

It's a good all round kite. More technical than the Buster but less than the Century. I heard of a couple of the larger ones had bridle blow out but I think that may have been after a Mod. that Pab's had done ?

It was pretty good the first time I flew it , which was in those pictures above. The wind was not that strong so I am not that sure how its going to handle in the Buggy yet:singing:
