buggy mods DONE!

so I went to make some small changes and oops

the thing lost all structure and broke in half......

but then I reinforced everything and made this change....

before

after

you can see what I did...I raised the back and so that I could lower the seat and be able to sit inside the buggy rather than on top.this in turn changed my rake angle making it steeper so the wheel bites quicker...I have to get used to its quick response again...but its not too twitchy.....Flexiblade suggested that I widen My foot pegs also....good call...anyway.... then I added the six foot axle and widened the front end where the down tube meets the frame....so my thighs would not get charley horsed so much.....

well I have learned a big lesson from this...as easy and simple it was to screw all the pieces together...I would never use the piping again...the pipe is strong enough but the threads are WEAK way too weak

some reinforcements

well I took it for a spin in some crappy wind and also downhill..no more plow and when I get powered up suddenly the side rails catch my ribs not my waist.....and I think with the six foot axle I have an equal lateral triangle ...pretty stable I also finished my seat to fit the change...now if I slouch a bit the seat back will support my head just enough to relax and dose off ......super comfy

just some show and tell

When that thing fell apart, the look on your face must had been pricless. I can see you sitting there, grinding, it falls apart, you dont budge, turn the grinder off, it stops spinning, you drop it and just walk away. :P

how are the rubber bands and bubble gum keeping that thing together?

I remember when we went to white lake and your back axle snaped, that was when you were using the threaded pipe.
