Dlish89 had some pulleys on handles. He may have got rid of them when he sold his 12m. Ask him he knows whats up with those.

I still have the handles ... just haven't used them yet.
You don't need them for a 5m though. The 5m turns on a wingtip with the pansh handles. Pulley handles or power rings just are not necessary for the 5m. The 8.5 is another story all together

I'm not 100% sure on the 5m, but I know for sure pansh has installed the shrimpansh mod on the 8.5 from the factory now.

My blaze was like a big pillow in the sky. Not necessarily slow to turn but certainly not sporty. It was fun and looked cool and didn't really have many serious deficiencies but on the other hand, it wasn't all that inspiring either. Certainly alot of kite for the money.

Same here, my blaze 7 needs to think if it wants to turn. Installed power rings, and that made a difference, but still need to tweak it. Lines are also like rubber bands (even though they're supposed to be pre-stretched), so I will replace those with Dyneema. Bridles look like "rope", must cause significant drag. Guess you get what you pay for, even though Beamerbob is right, a lotta kite for the money, but certainly not an Ozone or Flexi!

Dutch,
sounds like you got a older model, not the new blaze. do your lines have sewed ot tied sleeves ? And for sure the bridles are the old ones. The new bridles are smooth, not rope looking like the old ones.
I approached pansh (and one other person I know for sure) with the idea they should have a new generation of their legend and blaze kites. Just like the rest of the companies have a gen. 1 , gen 2, etc. They have made alot of improvements, but without a generation change noone knows the difference. It would be like if HQ didn't have the different generations of montana. They just called it the montana, but kept making the improvements without telling anyone. So someone who buys a older version (montana I)doesn't like it, but someone else who buys a newer version (montana III) and loves it. But they are all just called a montana how do you know which kite you are getting? Same situation here ... a blaze from a year ago is not the same kite as a blaze you buy today.

Pansh Blaze 7m

Thanks for your response dlish. I got the Blaze straight from Pansh, only 6 week ago. The sleeves are sewn, and it also came with the brake lines being thinner than the main lines, which made me think it is the newer version (according to the many Pansh posts). I fiddled more with the power rings, and it turns a lot better. It still has issues at the edge of the window, and also tends to overshoot and bowtie in gusts.
My next step is to "Shrimpansh" it; extending the bridles (both brake and main) which makes the kite sit flatter, and behave better, less luff too. I found that somewhere on a forum, complete with instructions. I have attached that PDF to this post, guess more people might benefit from it.

The only one I know for sure is the 8.5. I know this because when I was inspecting a new kite it had red brake bridles just on the wing tips. I thought I have never seen this before, so I opened another one that I had from a previous order and it was different. I don't know if its the complete shirmpansh mod, but they did extend the wing tip bridles to allow the kite to fly flatter.
I haven't noticed anything obvious on the 5m. I haven't measured any of them so I wouldn't be able to tell you if they have done anything. The 5m I fly I have had for about 2-3 months and it flies mostly flat. If it flew any flatter it would be inside out. In fact I had it out today and I still don't feel it needs any adjustments. It has a ton of power and spins on a wing tip.
biglou - do you have the brakes adjusted correctly ? If they are too lose that will slow your turns.

flew a little today in light winds ive noticed somewhat of a crease approx 15 in from trailing edge along legnth of kite noticed it before. is this normal?

it performs pretty good but i have nothing to compare it to . i was asking about the mods for sake of tweaking it.

on 5M blaze what is measurement for optimum brakes?

ok i also got some flexfoil lines from ebay. at least half the diameter and higher test than pansh lines
