Kite Leash or need a better chicken loop?

I just got back from a really nice windy day started off at 14mph at 8am and progressed to 20mph . By 1pm i packed up and peaced out. On my Montana 2 the chicken loop popped out like 3 times and i struggled so much to hold on to the damm thing so i wouldn't lose it, pulling like crazy to reach the emergency. I am still only cruising back and forth and doing tiny jumps (4ft max off the ground LOL) so i can practice landing the board in the right direction. Do you guys think i should get a leash for this puppy and attached it to the brake or look into a better chicken loop like Flexifoil or OZone?

You could change chicken loop but You could think about changing spreader bar as well. Check mystic spreader bars.

Newer Chicken loops have a finger called a Donkey D*#K .
You pop it in under the loop and it helps keep it in place.

A newer chicken loop should be pretty cheap ? I think I even saw one you can apply to your old loop.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

The dirty little secret about the HQ "leashless safety system" is that you can come un-hooked in certain ciscumstances. One is a botched jibe when the kite luffs then powers up behind you and the rig is stretched over your chest and over your shoulder. If you grab the bar and not the chicken loop then you are on the way to an OBE.
I have added a leash from the harness to the chicken loop.
Alternately you can stiffen the donky dong by putting some stiff plastic tubing or something in the tubing of the donkey dong itself.

BTW Zloty, it was with a Mystic spreader bar when I came un-hooked (a couple of times).

Viagra comments aside, what is a good way to stiffen up the donkey D..k? I have the same problem with my Ozone bar, and I even changed to the newer spinning chicken loop which had a new setup. I did eventually change the bar to a flexi one that has a much better way of securing the loop in the dakine spreader bar. I cut the sewn string on the ozone bar to allow the stay to slide down the side which enabled you to move it deeper into the hole of the hammerhead spreader. That also worked.

The flexi 4 line bars have a real cool device the hooks onto the end of the hammerhead spreader. I tried to find a picture of it, but came up short. It essentially velcro's onto the bar, then fits between the loop and the end of the hammerhead. It keeps the loop in place and can be pulled out in case of emergency. I have not been able to find just the little device, but it has worked with all of the bars I have used.

Ozone - Cult 4.5m / Yakuza 2.2m, 3.4m / Samurai2 3.0m / IMP 2.5m / IMP Quattro 1.5m
Peter Lynn - Pepper II 3.0m
Rides - Peter Lynn Bigfoot Buggy / Flexifoil Buggy / MBS Mountainboard
Harness - Dakine XT Seat / Ozone AccessXC D-Ring / Ozone AccessXC Spreader Bar

They are made out of like a stiff (in this case ish) rubber tube, perhaps to got the hardware store and get something in the same material, that would fit inside, cram it in, and it would stiffen it up quite a bit. *snicker* ;)

The 'chicken fingers' (I liked that one) on my Xbow chicken loops have a solid nylon rod inserted in the tube that stops just about 1-1/2" from where it's sewn into the top of the chicken loop. That creates a stiff hinge, of sorts, and seems to keep it in position pretty well.
