3.6 beamer, new addition to family
scored a used 3.6 beamer this weekend needed a little TLC but post surgery looks real good and i am looking forward to flying her. a little 9640
and .65 oz ripstop patch
ok hq lines are no flexfoil lines but from what i read nothing is like flexfoil lines.
? as part of pkg there was this "leash" with coiled elastic what is this for?
it also came with handles, stake, and kite killers but these kite killers have a static not elastic cord that attaches to brake line. unlike my
other KK

When i first got my Crossfires (1st Gen) my KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s where also tiny skinny lines. Of course they snapped within 2 weeks from the crazy
pull of the crossfire. Called HQ they sent me new ones (Elastic band). havn't had a problem since.

HQ KKs suk , buy flexis they are way better. I bought several sets for my pansh kites and in retrospect I wish I had gotten flexis. IMHO

Crossfire is a Lifty Kite . Honestly very exhausting flying static. gives a good workout. It's more aimed at the Intermediate pilot. great kites IMO.
But i have only flown the 1st generation, 2.4 and 4.0 . M thinking about letting go of my 2.4 since i don't use it at all. Now that i love
depower!!!! the 2.4 was my first true quad line kite. and that thing KICK MY A$$. I have broken 2 bones flying that thing LOL and many many bruises.
Talk about learning the curve QUICKLY. Or maybe m just a klutz :saint: The Beamer is not designed for being a lifty kite. Aimed at begginers, but
even after you get a whole quiver it's always great to have the beamer, in that quiver. . but like anyone says any kite in the right conditions will
pick ya off ya feet.
I don't have any experience with Flexi KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s, i have only used HQ KK cause it's the only brand i have been with since i started Kiting. I
do hear though that Flexi KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s and Handles are so so much better!!!

dude I got a pansh ACE 2.0 that will kill ya. Pansh did not even give ya linesets with it.It will kill ya in 20+(lots of lift, no float) , but I
bought it to be a buggy engine in 20+( I fly it horizontal, no zenith allowed) but it has so much power it drags the buggy sideways if your not
careful

FYI, the newer HQ Kite Killers are nice. Thick bungee like the Flexis and now they have a fabric loop on the end so that you can larks head the
KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s to the leads with that, rather than the thick bungee, which is stiff and awkward to make a knot with. Easy to make retro fix
yourself on earlier KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s with some spare material.
BTW I have had two customers recently that have had Flexi Handles fail on them. Never an HQ with tubular metal inside.
Newer HQ lines are nicer, too. Colored lines, sewn loops and now have numbered tabs 1,2,3,4 - good for newbies.
HQ stuff just keeps getting better...
