Kiting, Sunglasses and Music...

There was some discussion in a couple of other threads about earphones and what people used and also some talk of sunglasses and what kind people used. Does anyone have any experience with these:

That seems like the perfect solution for both vision and music all wrapped up into one bundle. Thoughts? Opinions?

oakley are good products, good back up on performance. these things i don't know. tested a pair the sounds was good but not better than stock ipod setup. it really leaves the oakley platform of light high performance eye wear and into novelty.
ultra cool concept.

i'd agree really cool concept but then if it's overcast you can't listen to the MP3 player?

I have the first generation "thumps" from few years ago. I got into kiting this past Fall and never crossed my mind to take them out. I always relied on my ipod. I dunno what kind of memory they hold now but mine holds about 50 songs. I guess enough for a jog or bike ride. It wouldn't do me any good kiting since i am out for a few hours. :bisou: but when i used them to jog, it did the job. I loved them. headphones flip up, tiny buttons on legs to shuffle and play with volume. pretty good concept. but useless if you don't use for running or cycling or whatever outside. cause headphones don't come off, so you gotta switch sunglasses if you decide to go somewhere after a session, or ya gonna look weird in the mall or gas station :singing:

i use Oakley Transitions Half Jacket. Never need to change lenses when it gets dark or too bright.

Nice thing about Oakley is you can customize them. Even etch "Traction Nut" on the lenses.
