frontroll or backroll?

When learning to 360, should I learn to backroll or frontroll first?
Which is easier? :?::?:

It really helps if you give a thorough explanation so someone knowledgeable can answer your question. This could be interpreted as the spins you were referring to in your last post or a 360 in a buggy or on a land board or even a kiteboard, or numerous other toys we talk about here. Give us a hand so we can give you one.

judging from your last thread, you're talking about rotations under your kite while jumping...

Not that I've ever attempted one, I just like sounding like a know-it-all, esp. after a few shots of single malt in the evening...

I'm sure somebody with more knowledge and less (hope not, though) frivolity will be by soon to provide something a little more constructive...

cheers,

back roll and front roll are 360's heelside to heelside hooked in. (also toeside as well)
back starting from the back shoulder
front roll starting from the front shoulder
unhooked handlepass 'you' spin 360 behind the bar,.... far more complex you turn away from the kite unhooked.
head rotation/snap in the direction makes it work, knees up early bring the board in makes you come round quicker. decent speed, jump and spin around look where you want to land.
you will need some power and float( legs in and look!)

these are rudimentary moves but a solid pop to toeside and back are half the move that should be first.

crashing with you back to the rig, on water not so bad, on land is a surprising thump you have to wear a helmet.

speed balance and look

after you edge and build enough pop ... as you're in the air and lean front shoulder, its easier than doing a backroll in my opinion.

bring helmet and pads

go practice and see what works for =)

be safe.

I'm finding that backrolls are easier and have now landed one on my feet (without a board) :singing:
Now I need to practice
:o !And then work up the guts to put the board on! :!:

Backrolls R easier as when landing You will touch with back wheel first (not always) and than front wheel , when frontroll You can dig in front of the board resulting a crash. Also backroll You have already a stance while for frontroll You have to trow Yourself forward. Most peeps find backroll easier. Both R fun when preformed correctly and painful when not landed. Learn it on water if You can to safe Yourself some pain.
