What a day!

Winds this am in Newport backed off finally 8-10mph from insane.

Hit the beach around 8:30am with my montana in tow.
Set up the kite just south of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.

Winds were around 10mph at the time, but a few minutes after launching they picked up to around 15mph.

Was just having to much fun flying this "Big ol' Kite", (quote from a gentleman walking on the beach.)

Smiling ear to ear scuding my butt off, hadn't noticed the winds building. Stopped at Nye Beach to take a wind reading. 20mph out of the north.

I was truely amazed at how smooth the kite was flying in 20+ winds.

Got back to scuding, and shreading the hell out of the beach.
The next time I stopped, (had to let the legs rest, lol) I noticed that I had just about run out of Beach.

You ever get to that place where you are having just to much fun you lose track of where you are?
I had to land and pack up. I ended up at the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, and North Jetty. No more beach.

Packed up, threw pack over back, and walked approx 2 miles back to my truck. Good thing there was a Dutch Bros coffee shop on the way.
