anyone any ideas on what is the best way of packing up your lines and handles???

Most people either wrap the lines around the handles then stuff the handles in the bag too or para pack.

Thanks man. Im a newbie too Ive only been flying for 2 months but about 3-4 times a week. Just read up as much as you can and dont be afraid to ask questions thats how we all learn. I know there are a few questions that you may be scared to ask because it seems stupid or dumb but if you dont ask you may end up hurt so be sure to ask

Thanks for your help jason,i`ve been surfing the net for as much info as i can find . Plus trying to fly as much as i can, best way to learn.Had a few moments, when after picking yourself up you think what the hell happenend their. but its all part of the fun

I attach my kitekillers around the center of my handles, to give the lines a base, and allow me to put some tension on the line. Then, I wrap the brake lines one full figure 8 around the handles (so the kite doesnt take off when I am wrapping, or unwrapping, the line), then wrap the powerlines, too. Keeping tension on the line, I just wrap them without trying to twist the line (they will twist a bit on their own) until I get near the bridle, then secure the line around the split in the handles.

When it comes time to fly again, I just unwrap them normally, using exactly the opposite motions I use to wrap them up (this untwists the line in exactly the opposite way, getting rid of any excessive twists). I have a set of handles and line for every kite I fly, and 9 out of ten times, I unpack the kite, unwrap the line, and launch with no hassle at all. Sometimes there is a wierd twist, but its pretty easy to spot and undo quickly.

IMO its the easiest way. No more attaching and unattaching kites whenever I want to change what I'm flying. And no more "Which kite did I leave the handles on??"

But I am sure that you will find a way that works well for you, too. Lots of people like the para-packing. But I'm a bit too OCD for that! Anyhow, it took me a few times to figure out what works for me.

Wrap around the handles is the best most secure and just about 100% bullet proof when you undo the lines for your next session. On occasion an odd ball twist but it's very easy to undo.

Everybody has their own way...
I sandwich a winder between the handles so the 'ears' are offset one aligned with the handle and the top side on the back and bottom side on the front and wrap in a figure 8. I finish wrapping the killers around the whole works and using the wrist part to lock it in place.
