twinskin ratio
I'm looking into buying a used twinskin and was wonder what the difference is in size and power to my frenzy
I'm looking for a kite to fit in my quiver that will have the power of around an 8 or 9m depowerable
Any advice:?::?::?:

12m frenzy = 19m venom In my opinion, but with less low end... that's what i reckon anyway :D
I think arcs rule in high winds but in low winds are fairly useless, 20mph+ and they totally come to life - bar pressures a bit much for my ponsey
arms though :D
a 13m venom is a great kite, i had that for a while - fast turning, heavyyyy bar pressure, amazing lift and float, wind range is 17-30 on the water,
for me The 10m was much more fun though, didn't start till 20mph but kept on
going pretty high up... smaller than 10m and you're really talking about nuclear winds

Yup, Domdino has it pretty close. The new PL Synergy has a ton more bottom end than the previous model twinskins and the ratio is pretty much 1 to 1
on size compared to most water kites now. The Synergy also has better depower than previous models and turns faster. They still rock in the upper
wind ranges and are far superior to any other kite on the market in gust absorption and stability.

Yup, if you haven't had the chance to fly the new Synergy you gotta give one a go. I have found that the 15 Synergy has as much bottom end power as
the 19 Venom II. There are a couple of video's on Youtube with some team riders (Gunner) doing some pretty amazing things with the 8m
Synergy in 15-18 mph winds.
If I can find the links to the vid's I will try to post them up.

Traig at Monkeyair is a long time PL distributor and rider and confirmed the power of the 15m Snergy...in line with the VII 19m.
My buddy has a 15 Synergy coming in a few days and I have the VII 19 so I'll be able to report back on that shortly. Can't wait.
I did have a chance to fly my buddy's 12m Synergy and boy, that thing is fast...I was really impressed.
