hi, i´ve started kite landboard about a month ago with a 3.0m Mosquito kite and i have a good control of the kite with the handles and i also have a crossover control bar but i cant have a good control of the kite unless i fly with strong winds.

What i want to konow is witch one it´s better for landboard and if you could give me some tips about this topic....

It really comes down to personal preference as to which one is better.

There has been quite a few topics on the "Handles vs Control Bar" debate here on the forum, do some searches and you will find a ton of info on the two setups.

Basically in a quick answer:
Handles - better overall control, fast turns, easy launches & landings, able to fine tune the angle of attack on the fly. Can be hooked into a harness but slightly more difficult to fly while hooked in. Handles are generally preferred for buggies and static flying.

Control Bar - Easy one-handed flying, simple to set up and fly. Turns are slower and not nearly as quick/controllable as with handles. Slightly harder to launch. More technical to adjust angle of attack (usually needs to be set through an adjuster strap) Can be hooked into a harness or flown without. Bar is usually preferred by snow boarding, land boarding and kite surfing.


Those are the very basics, hope it helps get you started.

At a point it becomes a personal thing. Give up some control for the simplicity of a bar or enjoy finer control with handles.

With a smaller kite and handles you will get a larger usable wind range. It will perform better in low wind . In high wind you can tweak the brakes to slow down or power boost.

I liked bars but slowly went back to handles on my Fixed bridle kites.

I use depower kites and bars most on the land board now.
