I hate my life right now, I have the money to get a water kite setup and but need my parents to use paypal or credit card. The problem is they say "you just got a new kite" and I say "why do you think I worked this summer?"
Anyone got any advise for me. I just watched an 06 instinct complete go on ebay and I was like:wow::puzzled::no::megan::mad::flaming::evil::(:?::!::barf:

Hummm....did they give you any other reason? I can see if they're worried about you getting hurt then that would be understandable but at least they should explain that to you. Maybe they don't think it's a good thing to spend your money on, but then again it's your money. Guess I'd like to hear there side of the story as well.

Regardless, try to keep your head up...hopefully they'll change their minds and you'll end up finding a better kite at a better price...sorry...I'm always the optimist.

Show your parents my quiver and tell 'em that's a typical kite quiver and that you having ONLY two kites is shameful.

Tell them you need diff kites for diff windspeeds and uses (land vs water)

Also tell them that if they REALLY LOVED YOU, they'd let you get that kite.

Also tell them that your money isn't really 'gone', as you could easily sell the kite off if needed

I do that, and it doesn't work for me, I know I'm gonna kill myself flying on what I have, but they don't believe it, they don't realize how dangerous it really is.

and of course telling your parents that it's a dangerous sport therefore you need to spend even more money on it to keep it safe is an argument that could easily backfire... Use with caution!!!

try putting it all together... Hi mum dad you love me and want me to have fun in this world and doing something good, right? (or something like that...) Well, kiteflying is a totally green sport, it makes me strong and quick and really really sensitive to the environment (WIND baby!) but the better I get the more I need to be able to push my limits and keep challenging myself (which of course is something that you want to learn well at an early stage in life and a totaly transferable skill) so I need just a couple more kites to do this well and safely in a winder range of winds, you see, and besides I think we had this little communication problem earlier, did you realize that I was saving up money for kites by working so hard... Well, of course I was going to use some of it for my college and #@%$#!, but isn't it totally responsible of me to be out there and making money with goals in mind and fulfilling my own slice of the american dream, and since it's so responsible of me and you want to encourage me and all, well maybe we could compromise by using half my money on kites and half in the bank for education and furthermore you could reward me with a price-matching scheme where you agree to match the half of my income I spend on kites with half of your money so I can get out and fly kites and keep pushing my limits and challenging myself which is a really cool habit for a kid of my age to be doing instead of mindlessly partying and video-gaming and consuming psychoactive substances compulsively so you really do want to be supporting my kite habit don't you, mum and dad, eh?

<<loop back to beginning until they break down>>

something like that might work, along with being really sad when the wind is wrong for you to fly safely....

well, whatever...

best of luck on the parent front...

furbs

as a parent, i give you props

if my son worked his butt off all summer to buy kite, i would totally be down for it. its better than him getting a job to go get HIGH.

at least your doing a sport, than sitting at home like a vegetable.

do you need a CC for paypal if you're in the USA? i've noticed that paypal has different policies for Canada and USA. I thought if you have a bank account to secure purchases it will come out your bank account. you have two options, backup funds through CC or Bank Account.

dunno, i could be wrong.

call Eli, and see if he will put you on a payment plan for a newer Ozone. just a suggestion. =)
