The thread explaining the Century as a model made by the guy who is making U-Turn kites is why I ended up buying them, just wondering if anyone has
any experience flying them??

The Century is an older Buggy race kite (not really old but out of production)The Century 2 is being tested and should be comming out soon.
as far as how they fly, I don't have any that small but the bigger ones 7.5 and 13.0 are great high speed kites for buggying. I use the 13.0 for low
wind days. It is incredible what kind of power you can tickle out of it. the up wind performance is excelent. It is one of those kites that really
keep thier value and sell very fast when they are offered.
The only negative point that I have with them is the lift. It is very controlable but If you make a mistake then you are out of the buggy but normally
have a soft landing (at least with the bigger ones)
Hope this helps

Some folks swear by their Centuries. Wolf Wolfee being one. I know he managed to destroy one but I think He was still pleased with the pounding it
took 1st. ?
They are a bit of a handfull to fly but the pay off is there. Not being into buggy racing they aren't my cup of tea. That said I have seen them at
some amzing clear out prices !
Seems like PKD lost some of it's steam about the time The Combat came out. It was supposed to be the newer / better Cent' but I have heard very little
about PKD at all lately. :puzzled:
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.

Its the easiest flying race kite on the market. Watch out for the 1.8m as it will spank you in high winds if you take your eyes off it. If you can
find them, the Porcher marine ones are the ebst, nice light material.
Hope this helps

Suppose I moved through the kite world with some rather nasty kites like Raptors, jojos and Firrebees. If you can fly thos e 3 anything is easy and a
Century is really easy....maybe you just not ready for them yet or dont have the kite skills.
Cheers

Woah buddy; you won't get far on this forum with a 'tude like that. Doesn't make Pansh look any better either.
I wouldn't want my team riders dissing others like that.

Dylan,
Now you can try for yourself (but you'll need a lot more wind). I think my RaptorII is the same kite as the Century and I like it for a melow race
kite. I find it easy to fly, and forgiving.
I have more fun with the RM+s, but you have to be on top of things much more than with these kites.
Have fun with them.
Steve.

thats no personal attack mate, i'm offering advice and saying that maybe our firend is not ready/does not have the skills. Its like a newbie going
out with a 8.5m Blade....
I think Centex agrees as to a Century is a mellow race kite

@kiteboyza: Trust me I have the skills.
I am not saying that the Century is not a good kite (I fly them myself) But if I am looking for a race kite there are (in my opinion) better choices.
Take a Vampire race Pro for a ride and then we can talk again.
Chris
P.S. The Spirit is supposed to be even easier to fly as the Race pro.
