Wow, a couple of cool ideas there ! I like the graphics for sure. Funny no one else has jumped on the camo' train.

That Idea of the handles joining to make a bar is creative indeed !

I'm generally not a huge Camo fan, but I like what they've done on the kites. Plus its something different from all the other designs which is nice.

That bar looks awfully small, although I suppose that a 1.0 and 1.5 kites don't need much bar. The handles look a bit short and uncomfortable as well. I like the idea of the hybrid bar/handles but this doesn't look like the greatest execution to me.

Not to go too far OT but does anybody know what FOPKF's (friend of PKF) carry PKD kites? Especially in the US of A.

That's the first I've seen of them ... I had heard they were on the way though. Check out the bridle! That's as complicated as a Flysurfer and on a trainer kite too! Was it really necessary? ... perhaps it has something to do with flying on a bar.... semi-cross over style kind of thing at the kite end instead of the bar end.

So who's gettind one first to play with?

Those Neo graphics look pretty sweet. I'm a sucker for orange and think that it looks great with that blue camo.

I love the blue/orange/grey scheme on the new Cab Switchblade IDS as well (seen here):

http://www.ikiteboarding.com/kiteboarding/news/183/cabrinha-...

And the Ozone Access XC scheme from last year (orange/grey/white) is pretty great looking as well.

Sorry, just realized that I went WAAAAAYYY off topic.

Back to the PKD trainer! 1m and 1.5m are kind of small. Hopefully they come out with something in the 2m to 3m as well. The combo bar/handle seems like a great selling point if it actually works decently for both.

Is it just me or are the breaks on the outside of the bar? might be a reason why the complicated bridle, to let the brakes do all the steering and not collapse

This is a pretty kite. The handle/bar looks great too! If I were a beginner, I'd buy this kite. Bridals look cool.

Good catch, Baluk -

Most fixed bridles on bars, without a crossover system, are set to brake off the center. And they steer like pigs 'cuz it's all off the fronts, IMHO. Looks like PKD has set this up more like depower kites, with the the steering more focused on altering the trailing edge. Wonder how it well it works, especially since you can't change the angle of attack or camber of the foil as much as with a mixer system.

Guess that's why I prefer the finesse of handles for fixed bridle.
