Mood: Ready for some sand!

[*] posted on 26-9-2008 at 10:05 AM

Linda is officially now in a "boot" for 4 to 6 weeks. Seems a little run in with a cinder block helped re-align it... or something like that. Doc said since it's pretty well aligned now, she could either have surgery and pins, or strap it into one of those boots and not use it. (Either way she wasn't gonna be able to use it) So she took the boot.

House is a biological experiment at the moment. Insurance adjusters walked by one room and said it didn't look like it had any damage, so i shined a flashlight on the mold on the cieling... hmmm, looks like water damage was their corrected statement. They came and looked at everything yesterday, and said it would be a couple days before they had everything ready to give me an estimate on the damages.

First estimate finally came in. 83k in damage. Wowza.... But on the bright side, my tarps are holding up well even though it's freakin pouring here today. Should get another estimate or two finished in the next few days. All the contractors go "Wow" that tree really did some damage. Maybe by the start of next hurricane season we'll be back in the house :wee::singing::wee::singing:

Guess my tarp installing skills were up to it... House stayed nice and dry. Trailer roof and rain wakes you up at first... then the steady sound put me right back to sleep.

We have a refrigerator plugged in on one circuit at the far end of the house. We jokingly say we are going to the "Store" when we leave the trailer and go into the house. Might have to go to the real store today though, the other one is almost empty.

Off a few days next week... will have to make a run to the beach for a day.

I'll be busy redoing my fence. My son and a couple of his friends just left to head to the pass. They'll be there fishing overnight. Go zip by and cut the lines with your fins... not. But if ya see him and his friends in a grey dodge pickup... feel free to harass them.

I'm gonna go next weekend. Or maybe tuesday as well since I'm off work. ALways love going during the week when no one is there.
