Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

You'll be surprised to find that about 7-9mph will be enough if you work the Legend like a madman. As little as 12mph will be good fun for you. It only gets better from there but really, that Legend, if you can "hear" the wind blowing across your ears (about 7-9mph), you'll be able to get enough power to drag you around on skis. Might be slow but you'll be surprised I'm sure. My 4.7 is one of my favorites when the conditions are optimal for it. You'll love the Legend.

I just bought a C-quad.
I'm so backed up with fun new kites and skatewings to try that I haven't tried it yet. I feel so Freakin' jaded :P

What I do know is These are VERY different kites !!!!!!

DON'T FLY your C-quad until you have figured things out on the Legend. The quad has spars that will break. The legend will be pretty bomb proof compared to the other. The quad will be smaller but way more powerful. It will fly with completely different input. It will need constant brake tension.

As your skills increase you will be able to handle the 4.5 in some pretty high winds. To get moving and learning I would guess 10 knots on hard snow 12 or more on soft stuff. Then up in to the 20's when you get skills.

The best kites for Snowkiting are Depower kites. Look to one of them as your next / bigger kite !
Have fun and Be Safe !

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .
