Boulder, CO - Oct 18th

Just found out today that I'll be going to Boulder for business from the 18th - 24th.

Don't know what my days will be like but was wondering if anyone would like to hook up to go fly.

Since I can only bring a few kites (I'm thinking 3 and a board), what sizes should I bring (fixed bridles only)?

Any recommendations on a good hotel (4 star I'm hoping), restarants, good bar, and most importantly a good place to fly (school, dirt field, doesn't matter)?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks.

Pete

Drop by Into The Wind kite shop on the Pearl St. Mall... I'm sure you will find someone to fly with there.
If you like historic hotels, stay at the Hotel Boulderado. The Catacombs bar is in the cellar. There are plenty more bars on Pearl St. a short walk away.
In boulder, you only have no wind or too much. Bring your smallest and largest kite.
Boulder doesn't have many great places to fly being so close to the mountains. Try the high school field in Table Mesa area (you may have to fight the soccer kids for room). If you can drive, head up to Longmont on Hwy 119 (10 miles north). When you reach the first stop light at the south end of town, look left. There are several huge fields there surrounding an electronics factory. Might want to ask permission first if you plan to buggy.

Enjoy your trip!

This is awesome information....thanks doomwheels!

I was actually reading about the Pearl St. mall last night...guess I'll be spending a lot of time there if there's no wind. No wife and kids...time to get my drink on

Just found out this morning that I'll be working the graveyard shift (Disaster Recovery) so hopefully there won't be any soccer moms in the early afternoon...

I'll have to call that shop and see if they rent buggys....unfortunately, I don't even know if my landboard's going to fit.

Anyway,,,thanks again for the great info!
