Vector suspension+Libre buggies
does any body have pics and/or info on what Libre's Vector suspension system is?
I have tried a few different buggies now and I can say that I prefer my PL Race, with it's rear axle suspension, over the other non-suspension
equipped buggies.
I'm guessing a V-max II equipped with a rear axle suspension system would compare, in ride comfort, to my old PL Race. Never seen the Vector
suspension though and can only find mention of front suspension for Libre bugs.

OOPSS to fast on Posting
The suspension is nice for going across fields but for the beach I don't find them very usefull. A nice wide rear axle and Cadcat wheels do the trick
for both Fields and Beachs and cost alot less. If you want to build your own rear suspension system let me know and I can send you a link with plans.
Hope this helps

thanks for the link.
Wow, that is a seriously heavy looking mass of metal as is Libre's Vector system (found the pic, thanx Krohn 1999). no wonder at all why those
systems are not popular. I guessed there would be another system like PLs Race system. Perhaps not.
Aside from my PL Race, the other two bugs, an ST and XR+, have standard length axles/siderails and my butt was feeling every little bump. We let air
out of the ST and that helped a wee bit with front buzz/bounce. I am a bit wreckless in/out of corners and would not want to bust a beed doing huge power slide. letting air out is a concern. I could drive a little
more civilized but that's just not fun:moon: I guess I'm spoiled with my cuishy ride. I would like to try a non-suspension with wiiiide rear axle and
larger (slighly under-inflated) tires to get a better idea of what's what.
I hoped I could simply order up a newer, higher quality, (Libre's) version of my old PL Race. I ride in tight areas so a huge buggy is not real
appealing.

So what did you think of the Flexi bug, a lot different ride but a lot more solid of a buggy. You pinned her down pretty well, hauling a** as they
say...lol

i easily prefer fit/feel of the flexi bug to the three PLs i have used.
i can't find specs on the thing though ie. axle bolt thickness.
some things that looked 'dinky/afterthought-ish' from the pics are actually very good. ie. curved feet pegs and especially the seat back. i understand
the curved foot pegs are/were designed to stop pegs from dragging when bugg is in a wheelie but i did find they help feet from slipping around on the
rough stuff. i did feel a wee bit taller in the saddle but i understand the taller CoG is for stunting purposes. stunting is not for me, thus far, so
i'd simply add the wider axle.
i am also impressed with flexi's approach to wide axle option. one is not required to purchase additional siderails, in order to maintain appropriate
steering geometry, as flexi's wide axle has siderail extensions.
*trouble now seems to be availability, US/CAD exchange, shipping fees, and i'd want the wide axle.
i'll see how it goes.
Please don't ever bring a Libre or exxtreme to a meet:D

Fox makes a very similar shock for mountain bikes with full suspension, or a heavier duty version for dirt bikes. Some of these even come with
adjustable dampening.
I have one on my full sus. mt. bike and it works great. With a few modifications you could build these into your own buggy.
