I don't think they are aged Susan. Last time AJ brought one, it was a real fight to get the sucker in the pot. I still have beak marks...:Ange09:

East Beach

Was able to make it to East Beach Sunday the 9th to get some bugging in...winds E to ESE 15 to 20. 100% sunshine. 77 degrees Plenty of room to buggy even with the sparse crowd at the beach.top speed 33.3 mph, my personal best. The beach at the far east end (south jetty to the channel) has been rearranged by IKE. one big tidal pool. Most of the boundary pylons are gone or snapped off . Which makes it interesting in the buggy.. lot of remaining stub ups to avoid.Looks like they have cleaned the beach well, nice and smooth..
did get one run to Stewart's Beach in tandem with the wife in tow.
not as quick getting back...great day ..should be at SLP Sat. or Sun.
till then ..Herb

Anyone headed down I-45 who wants to take a log to sit on or use as fire wood at the beach... feel free to stop on by. Lol... I can bring cabinet doors, drawers and other interrior things to burn on Turkey day :wee:

Taking another oak down in the next day or two to make room for a dumpster being delivered on monday. Woo Hoo! Finally going to see some signs of progress on the House after Ike.

I was able to catch the wind at Spillway Park in Bacliff this afternoon. Had the 19m venom up and was throwing deadman time after time. Such nice float with the monster. Will be at east beach about 3pm on thursday and plan on spending the rest of the weekend chasing the wind..............aj

Went down sunday and winds were light. Was able to make long runs though with an 8m Access2 with the south east winds.

Got to watch the entire roof removed from my house today.... talk about a cool skylight. They removed and reframed in one day.

We'll be down on thursday at the latest with a Turkey, deer meat, and some green beans.

We'll be there around the same time. East Beach, take the earlier first entrance... if you go to the regular, we will be on the other side of the pavillion ( or what's left of it)
