Just curious... if the wind always blew, and conditions were always good, how often would you kite?

I took a realistic approach for me. I am a very busy man, so I would be able to do it 2 to 3 times a week. This happened last summer, the week was really good for flying so I was able to get out there 2 or 3 times in a week :).

I'd like to say "daily" and I would go during the week at lunch (normally fly sport kites or foils at lunch anyway) but between work and family and life, likely I'd only get out a couple times per week for a serious boarding session.

I personally get out on average 5-6 times a week in the summer and 2-4 times a week in the winter so yup everyday if it didn't rain, and was blowing 5 kn plus.

6days straight 3 sessions every 24hrs round the clock water /ATB. with some sessions 4hours long. ......and 4 1/2 days work with in that .... musta been a good week.

recently out of the last 7days ....i have had four fly days mostly on the water. about every 6-8hrs on the water i need aleast a day of rest.

the biggest chore ... wetsuit drying... only have one full and a shorty. i use a dehumidifer set up ...nice to have it dry.

once every couple of days. don't want to wear it out. I used to stay out on the water 5-7 hours without a break.

I'm pretty much over kite flying whenever it blows. 10 years of living next to the beach does that. :spin:

Well with a wife, two kids and a demanding job I don't get to kite as often as I would like..but having said that I still try to kite after work just before I pick up the kids (30-45mins). On Friday afternoons I can kite for about 1-1.5 hours. Then once a week (Sat or Sun)...I try to get out for half a day and either go the beach and kitesurf or El Mirage to board/buggy.

All depends on the wind which lately has been pretty crappy and nonexistent

Guess I can't complain but I'd be lying if reading about AJ 's and PR's sessions didn't get me a little jealous ;-)

The trouble up North is that the days are way too short in winter ! Work gets in the way.

In summer I find I can still only get out about 3 or 4 days a week. (no section for that many days on the list ? ) Life gets in the way !

I knew I was getting jaded the 1st day I passed on a good session just because I was feeling lazy. I hate myself on those days. I believe in living every day to the fullest !

In the last couple of months (4 - 5) I've been able to get out a total of maybe 8 times - that's 4 local days and 4 days driving to the beach (270 miles round trip) - it's been a finiky late summer early fall here in Nor Cal - The one thing it does do for me is to truly appreciate a good day - anything over 15mph - If I had wind everyday I think I would probably become somewhat complacent about getting out - which isn't a bad thing - at least then I could let my thoughts relax instead of constantly looking at trees, listening for the rustling of leaves and coming up with any lame excuse I can to dodge out of work to try and find just one day of wind.
