And note how the upwind kite doesn't fly high. How rude ; )

That's amazing. Looks so surreal. Like flying a slinky :singing:

How'd he launch that?

I thought he'd be getting hauled around more than that ... unless it's an uber low-wind day ...?

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Kamikuza look at the stack again. looks like every 5th or 6th stacker the train lines are shorter then then others. This severely limits the amount of power the stack will deliver. Not an easy thing to control by any means. Wind in the vid didn't look to be uber low either. The surveyors tape in the background was blowing a fair amount.

As far as getting hauled around we only see him scud at the beginning and end of vid. Just like foils, fly high and not as much power.

Ok ... interesting. Didn't know you could do that! I noticed the shorter lines a few times and thought he'd just run out of string :D

The shorter train lines don't allow the flexis to fully "pop" into shape. The flexi is basically a arc with a spar in the leading edge. The more of a curve the more lift and speed you produce due to aerodynamics. We use to fly large stacks of flexis in Lincoln City, Oregon at the kite festivals. The crowd always oooh and aaah'd the big stacks, but we always got our butts handed to us by the smaller 6 and 8 stacks. Loads of power.

If you are ever in Oregon or south West Washington let me know. I have 4 RM 8's Speed Foils that you are more then welcome to buzz seagulls with. Same as the flexi, same designer just better graphics.

Har! Funny man, Don & Bob
After flying the 2-line Vibe, I don't think I could live without brakes again :shocked2: dunno if I could do it by myself with just 2-lines ...
One day, I may just take you up on that Deadon! :D
