Wish I were back there....


Found a couple pics from Kailua. Just a beach shot of yours truly but a nice one of some of the locals riding. (My action shots are on the video camera - I'll see if there's anything post-worthy....especially the superman ; )

We were flying a 14m Raven, winds easily 25+ km/h and clean like I've never experienced before. Real nice kite and super low bar pressure. He had us fly with one hand for the duration of the lesson because he knew we could fly with two already. The only beef I had was that it really needed equal tension on all four lines at all times otherwise it wouldn't respond worth a darn. The PLs don't behave that way - they respond no matter what. Equalizing the tension just makes them respond way faster. The Raven absolutely REQUIRED it. Especially when trying to hold it somewhere at the window's edge while putting on the board.

Okay. Stopping now before this thread warrants moving to the kitesurfing category ; )

Lots of Cabrinhas out there. Not a single foil though the instructor did say he knew of a few. Just a few though.
