PL Synergy vs Fly Surfer vs Neo

Looking to get my first twin skin. I am wondering what everyone thinks.

1) Ease of set up
2) Stability
3) up wind/down wind
4) Depower range
5) Relaunch/Water launch
6) Flying by yourself
7) Use as buggy engine
6) Bang for your buck
8) Preformance in gusty conditions

I know that list is long, but the more info the better.
Looking to get in around a 10m - 15m

Thanks for any info people.

all three are easy to set up---PL has no bridles but must inflate. Pack up a FSer/Neo correct, no issues on next unpack.

Stability, all three are stable, in gusts PL no question

its a toss up here

FSer but the other 2 are quite good

Neo and Pulse are very easy to water relaunch. Unless you get it very wrong, youll never relaunch a PL (auto zenith) I have made 3 intentional relaunches on my Scorpion which was touted for land use (initially) and had no issues. Again, you cant beat auto zenith

All 3 are good flying solo ask AJ or Phreerider on the PL

sorry dont buggy but the depower in all 3 will allow yo to control speed and lift

I bought 3 PLs for a $1K used but in super condition

gusts--PL no contest

low wind performance--Neo or FSer but the Synergy is said to have a lot better low end.

If you can try before buy would be nice but on blind faith, and your avg winds are 10 knots or better, Id say PL--ask Bloah..........................

neo & fs practically the same, the neo less $ & super easy all around

IF YOU LIKE TO CHANGE KITES ALOT DURING A SESSION YOU MAY NOT LIKE THE PL
THE PL ARE FOR THOSE WHO PUT UP A KITE- RIDE- 3HOURS LATER- PUT IT DOWN.
RESETS CAN GO QUICK BUT IT"S A RESET.

OPEN WATER RELAUNCH ON A PL I DO ABOUT ONE EVERY 80-100HOURS OF FLYING .

THE PL'S ARE ULTRA SWEET IN HIGHER WINDS AROUND 15-30MPH THIS IS MOSTLY WHY THE DON'T DROP BECAUSE THERE IS PLENTY OF WIND.AND RELAUNCH IS EASY IN GREAT CONDITIONS

AND I ONLY DO SOLO LAUNCH AND LANDINGS

No one around here carries PL, or FS. The only shop that carries HQ will let me try it after I buy it, LOL (Blind faith).

I get alot of gusty winds here, so I'm sorta leaning towards the PL.
Thanks for the info so far.

You would think that if they were at all interested in making a sale that they'd work to bring in a demo for you to try. There seems to be a lot of interest in the Neo and you would think they'd like to try it for themselves as well.

Try after you buy isn't exactly a "service".

good point NH..............If you deal with gusties, go for the PL. There are three dealers here on the forum that sell Peter Lynn...................

Powerzonesports
Awindofchange
Coastalwindsports

all three can dial you in on the proper size twinskin for your conditions/weight/use,,,,,, good luck

so far we're really liking the PL Synergy !

Tridude and Phreerider already perfectly covered the pros and cons of Bridled foils and Arcs, so no need to repeat the info...

another attribute is resale value... FS and PL are winning in that department...

if you wanna demo something, we can arrange a micro-pass-the-kite program since you're so close. we also have afew customers in northern oregon who would probably be willing to show you their kites ....
