Poor Man's Buggy

My son and and I went to the sod farm to day with 10 to 12 knot winds. Beautiful day!
We tried out the new buggy we built before going out. It performed admirably behind the 11m Neo. I would highly recommend it as a "starter buggy" to anyone interested trying this aspect of the sport.
Unfortunately, due to poor quality control, it incurred a catastrophic structural failure after just a few runs. Oh well, back to the appliance store....

I know firsthand that a floormat from the car and a stiff wind with an HQ symphony will set you free.

I built my first buggy for about $50.00. It worked pretty well. I bought a rockville on ebay for about 260.00 and it works better but not 5 times better. I will have to try the box though for my son. He would like that

It's not just for the kids. I had a blast in the box buggy after begging it away from my son. It was easier getting the box from him than the 11 Neo. I never thought I would get stuck with the 8m.

you take a 2 liter drink bottle and cut a suitable hole out of the top of it to make a sort of "shoe" out of it. This gives you a very slick surface to slide on. Cheap and somewhat durable on grass. They can be so slick that your feet can go out from under you. squat down real low with feet a little wider than shoulders.

Corroplast is incredibly tough, less than $15 for a 4x8 sheet at Home Despot.

a friend and i found some teflon sheeting here at work we are planing ob stapling it to our shoes. its about 1/4th inch thick and it comes in a roll about 5 maybe 6 inches wide all i need now are some old shoes. I like the box idea though it looks like it would be a blast in a large field but i bet up wind travle would not be fun.
