Bullet v Beamer III
Haven't been able to find much ppls oppinion of the bullet or beamer (outside of the 3m :ninja ... what are the differentiation characteristics of these kites and which would be better for buggying in higher winds
(in a ~2m size)?
I haven't been able to find any good reviews or data on these kites, for some reason. Maybe the google gods are frowning on me today.

from my experience the bullet will have alittle more power and lift than the beamer in comparable size. Both will be stable and good in the buggy. If
I had to pick only one i would say the bullet ... if you can find one! Finding a 2m bullet will be harder than getting reviews .. this may eventually
move your decision to the beamer III.

The Bullet is designed to be a buggy engine. The Beamer is designed as a trainer.
Both are nice stable kites! The Bullet may be a bit tougher built ?
Bullets are great kites but they are 3 generations back. Replaced 1st by the Rage and now the Blurr.

The Beamer is not designed to be a Trainer. The Beamer is a entry-level power/traction kite for buggying and other applications. It is in the entry
level category because it is super stabel, easyto fly and beginner friendly (colored lines, colored handles, groundstake, comprehensive manual...).
But it is still a powerful kite, people have suffered broken bones, sprained ankles.... by underestimating the amount of power these kites have.
Just to let you know since some folks think that entry level kites have very little power.
Cheers

I agree- My 1.8 beamer will pull my 200 pound body down the beach almost as fast as my 2.5 bullet in strong winds. I like the Beamer MUCH better in
gusty winds than the bullet. If it is overcast and gusty I don't even try to fly the bullet because of the on/off instant power changes so fast as you
cross the window. Two things will happen- a Superman or a pulled muscle!
I had the 1st Beamer III -4.0m to be sold in the US when it came out and found that kite to be similar to the Bullets in gusty winds. Because of that
I sold it. Too bad because I like the all around characteristics of the previous HQ'S products. I would however purchase a Beamer II- in any size and
it would be a gust muncher.
I like to be slightly underpowered and work the kite for all its worth- not have the kite work me!

I can vouch for the power of my "little" 3m Beamer III. My second time flying it, it supermanned me with a crowd watching. The other dad there just
knew we were headed to the emergency room and the kids thought it was hilarious. I was over my head with wind and like Tim said, I underestimated the
power of a hot launch in 25-30 mph winds. It has 220 kg power lines for a reason. Also, I've done continuous scuds with that kite in 15 mph winds.
I'm 235 lbs and it would drag me along the beach making a sine wave of tracks as long as I kept it in the power zone.
This kite is a good trainer because of its stability, but it is indeed a "real" traction kite.

Yes the Rage replaced the Bullet, but it remains in the product line, with the Blurr designed to fit squarely between it and the Blade. The Blurr is
designed as an intermediate/ advanced kite for those not wanting the aggressiveness Blade. The Rage remains as their entry-level high perfomance
kite sitting above the sting.
Flexi party line anyway, but it seems to bear out on the beach.
