Its awesome spot, the usual is Nw sunny flat bay to river into the ocean with nice cliff either side.
Its good all around for KBG Buggy and Surfing. From March till October its butter! When it gets big outside 10ft+, it gets smooth inside. If you
ride it, make sure you are powered, the surge could stall the kite. The river currents crank from the east, so if you ride the mouth of it, you'll
realize it like taking a moving sidewalk upwind.
I think I filmed about 5mins of a 3 hr session that day...and westerlies let us cruise n to s up and down the beach!
the flats spots i ride have 5-6knt current in the full tide swing but the slack is the sweetest.
west wind on a rising tide relatively safe but technically offshore
the pics in the gallery(kitesurf) are in the sound on a north wind just before slack high
indeed powered for the moving floor,, after the tide change afew big jumps and you want be coming back up . the steepest up wind line turns into
barely hanging your position .
makes great sunset spots as well. ultra flat with fast board and 25mph.... pure heaven i don't care how cold it gets
