There were a whole bunch of them at a local secon-hand sports equipment company... but they were new. I took this as a symbol that they werent up to
what they should have been, or nobody would have dumped them there.
Maybe they have improved... But with the angle that the wheels are at, I would think that lateral pull from a kite would snap the wheelbase off after
repeated uses.

They look too flimsy to me too ... if I made some WOD I'd consider the layout though - big ol' wheels and a short base? Made out of steel, it could
work :D
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Actually those are pretty cool!
I'm all about shorter wheelbase ideas .
I don't see too big an issue with loading that frame. The weak link looks to be the Wheels ?
I am pretty sure that the magic in my Coyote wheels is that they are inflatable. This allows smooth running on iffy surfaces. Give me the same thing
with better wheels and a could go FAST !!!!!

Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

If you were carved hard against a kite wouldn't the upwind foot slide out? The wheels are already cranked way over - I can't imagine they would work
very well if they were horizontal. Of course, that also makes the downwind wheels near vertical.....
Hmmm....I'll watch for reports on these. Maybe you could try a Coyote on one foot, and the landroller on another to compare in real time

It is like with skiing . Most of the pressure is on your downhill / downwind foot ? Upwind foot is more for balance.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

I meant the wheels, too - all that load sideways on them
I got thinking about these as WOD - steel plate with the axles welded onto for like 10 inch rear and 8 inch front wheels or something then the boot
pate mounted at an angle ... there'd be lots of meat for the axles across the base and the boot mount would be tough too ... bet they'd weigh a ton
though need a fairly rigid boot mounting surely ... hmm ... wonder if you could
put balloon wheels on them too
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
