Wow, what a sweet looking kite. I have been thinking on one myself probably the 14M. Says it hauls along nicely.

Wolfwolfie, the Outlaw is basically a Pulse2 with open cells. If you have any thoughts of hitting the water I'd get a Pulse. If not, the Outlaw is easier to launch/packup ..etc. Both really nice easy kites to use for the performance they have, can't go wrong either way.

Not interested in the water scene, no knees left. I got a chance to fly a Pulse 2 found it really slow to what I'm used to have heard the Outlaw is a lot quicker. I have heard from a lot of people it more like the Speed 2 then the Pulse's.
I fly strictly land as half the lakes around here you wouldn't want to swim in.
Do some winter stuff made ice blades for the buggy still working out some bugs but pretty happy with it.

Luk StaneS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s kitebuggy world speed record - 72.8 mph was with a Libre Full Race and Jojo RM 3.0 kite.

If it is the same Luke, (Luk Stanek spelled his name Luk without the "e"), the guy does have some nice buggy moves with the outlaw.

If you are not hitting the water, and buying new than for sure go Outlaw. Much easier to launch/packup. I'm curious..where did you read it is much faster than the Pulse2? I'm considering a 12m Pulse2 to go with my 8m, and want to read any news I can beforehand.
Incidently, my 8m Pulse2 is not slow at all(mind you I only use it in 20+knots).Which size in what wind did you fly? They don't really perform in lowish winds..not designed for them.

I'll try and find the link for you it was on one of the forums as a announcement. I remember them making the statement it was more like the speeds but others have said no Pulse 2. Your not the only one confused. I am looking at a Outlaw possibly the 12 or 14M , sure look good in the air, nice to have the graphics the the flyer can see.
Revpaul has a Pulse 2 12M he could probably answer your question better than me, I know he likes it. Its hard for me too feel them out I have always flown fixed bridle power monsters...lol Been working with the Sabre trying to only take it out so I have to use it and starting to like it but even the bar is strange to me.

I would doubt the outlaw compare to the Speed. It shares the sames specs as the Pulse except it's an open cell.

It might be just a bit more powerful

Someone local who just bought 2 of them said it's an easy kite to fly. The Speed2 is not.

They sure do match up spec wise do you think they are any faster than the Pulse's 2?

Since the outlaw is lighter than the Pulse, yes it should be a bit faster. Open cell, I guess less inertia, a bit faster.

How much I don't know but ???

Are you into buggy jumping? All of the FS kites have quite a bit of lift. If you are really into going fast, and have clean winds I'd be looking hard at a Speed2. They fly very far forward to the edge like you are used to with the Cents. I've actually gone as fast on the water as someone on the beach in a bug with my 15m S2(winds about 8-9 knots). He was flying a10m Access2.

If your winds are not that smooth I'd keep looking for something else.

Another thing to keep in mind is the bigger kites use longer bars(60+cm) which might be a pain in the bug when you are used to handles. As always, try to get a test run if possible, the FS importer for Canada(Mike Dowie?) is in AB. I believe. Drop him a note and see what he can do for you. If you can get the ice buggy working be sure to share the recipe.

Winds are definitely dirty here inland.
Yes I do jump a fair bit, wife don't like it but it makes my heart race and I love it. Geared out for it' full 661 gear (wife bought me a new one for X-mas tore the arm of my last one..lol) with a Giro helmet I love. I only been on the Pulse 2 a short time it was a 8m I think found it really slow but I know thats not fair as I fly fixed bridles.
I have thought of a Warrior upgraded with fourth line etc does have a WAC system already wondering how far you can push the upgrades?
Hard making a decision on a new kite or used, getting older need to slow down a bit but the video of the Outlaw looked great to me. Never quit the air, in the blood...lol
I have talked with Mike and he is bringing out some Outlaws to the Kite Festival definitely going to give her a try and should have the carbides on the Buggy blades by then. So far it seems to be working pretty good but not any crazy winds to rip around with yet but did turn pretty well but think the Carbides should really pin it down.

With dirty winds, forget the Speeds.Good to hear you are fully kitted with gear. If you were on an 8m Pulse 2 and found it slow you will not care for the bigger ones. Must have been lighter winds as I find mine nippy in 20-30 knots. I also wonder if it was tuned correctly.
The Warrior will be slower again, so pass on that one too.

Be sure to fly next to a Pulse at the Festival so you can report on any diffs in speed back to back. Curious minds want to know :-)
