not sure what I'm getting myself into. flysurfer for peterlynn

so I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into but I've almost completely sold off all of my flysurfers for peter lynn kites.

I caught the bug when there was all the talk about peter lynns here about a month or 2 ago. picked up a phantom 12m from kitesurfer. hated how hard it was to launch but loved the kite overall. now I have a 10m venom and a 15m synergy on there way. I decided to keep the silver arrow. I think that is by far the money kite to have by flysurfer. they know lightwind machines best and the arrow is the ticket for that type of riding. I guess I'm just a little nervous to see what the PL's are like on the water. I hope this turns out to be a positive experience overall.

just think of arcs as viagra................once their up they stay up................ If you experience a session with no drops lasting more than 4 hours, please consult your doctor.............................

Phanny and Venom have more direct bar pressure. The VPC bridle on your Syn will reduce that but can be adjusted if you like that direct feeling. The Syn also has wing tip flight adjusters to enhance upwind and turning performance, same same on the Scorpion...................link below has mods for the hyper Venom. Phree has these on his 16m V1................. all said your set with the low end on the SA and big top end on the 10m Venom..................

nw, I am in the same boat as you are. Caught PL bug here and picked up 10M Synergy and 15M Scorpion.

So far only one buggy session with 10M Synergy and that was a positive experience.

I am nervous about using them on water as well. I guess time will tell...

since june it is all i ride on the water PL's are my primary water kites. practically daily on it .

haven't pumped a kite since

dida few swallow water relaunches
challenging.. yes
different.. yes
totally doable

the hardest combo marginal wind for the water and current push

good wind
stay close
feel out the kite, speed, power, turns

really brainless after you are use to it

whats the benefit of the hypervenom mod? it looks like it would take away some of the gust muching ability of the kite by tying both sides together

gives the kite a tighter feel throughout the range. more power overall

quicker tighter turning, lesser degree of flaring (with the ext. bridal)

in lighter air the lower end is stronger but a fraction stall prone . has not been a problem . just splitting hairs

mine tolerates gust just as well as the stock set up

the power surge when you draw the bar in is just really remarkable...sharper pop,

i still run this kite well over 25mph
