I got out this afternoon in Stratham, NH. It would have been a perfect day if I could have dialed the wind up 5mph or so. I'm guessing that it was
blowing about 3-12 mph. I was underpowered on my 11m Frenzy but it was great to get out on the fresh snow (even if it had a nice icy layer of crust
under it). And I got a couple decent runs in anyway.

Get some skis and get out there! I picked up skis and boots at a swap thing last year for $150 total. The boots were brand new base model Nordicas
and the skis were brand new but fairly old looking purple K2's and I feel no pain when I beat them up in the fields on shallow snow. Or you could get
a cheap craigslist snowboard and boots on the cheap too. You live in New England. Therefore you should snowkite.

What lake did you get out to? Quannapowitt?
We had about a dozen on Indian Lake and it was too light - maybe we'll get some more later this week...

I like the ice a little thicker than that but with the cold temps sticking around this week, by the upcoming weekend, things should be good on most of
the lakes and ponds in the area. I'd also like to know if it was Quannapowitt - that's a big lake so if that is a solid 4" all around, most of the
lakes will be sound by Saturday.
I went out 2 weekends ago on a field and pulled my son on his sled while I skied - we were underpowered but it was fun.

It was a field that is right off of Rt 108 only a mile or so from Rt 101. It seems like Stratham has more farmland than any of the surrounding towns
(based on my google earth research).
I can't imagine how much time I'd spend wondering where the best spots were without being able to actually look for them on Google earth. It kind of
freaks me out though.

Hi,
I am new to the sport but I kitesurf and have all of the equipments. I would very much like to join anyone who might go out for a snowkiting session
on the weekend here in New England. If you can just give me a shout when you go, tianhuo@gmail.com, I would be much appreciated.
Thank you,

I got out today at Mascuppic. Jay showed up as I was taking wind readings. Surface was beat up by quads and snowmobiles but quite rideable. Winds
were low (4.5 - 8 mph). I rode my 8.5 blade and he rode his 15m synergy.
I think we were out there for about 1.5 hours before the wind totally died.
Not breaking any speed records today but not bad given the real light wind conditions.

If you are talking about Quinnapowit, yes Paul says they have been setting up at the far end where the playground is and the big stone church. John
works at the companies located on the 128 side of the lake so he was going to park there and ski that side. Or you can park along 129 if they've
plowed those spots out, jump the guard rail, set up and go.
