The bar should work fine, 5th line, wave grenade...........


If your concern is the 5th line connection to the LE bladder, loop a pigtail on the pump leash tab/connector (12 oclock on the LE bladder), then a line from the pigtail down to your 5th line. Make the line from the pigtail longer and adjust it in as required (should have some slack at zenith). Or if your 5th line is long enough, larks it to your pigtail--done!...........................

what other control bars work with the slingshot fuel

I've successfully used a 2004 or 2005 4-line Best C-Kite bar with an 04 9m fuel.

will this bar work with 05 Slingshot fuel 12M "07 BEST BAR 55cm with 25 meter lines"

or will it take some modding to get it to work

four line mode yes......... not sure about a 5th line on that bar. Reason I say that is Best makes a 5th line C kite bar

how hard would it be for newbie to C kites to get the best bar to fit to the fuel kite if it was a four line bar

That 07 best bar is gonna have too much depower throw for the Fuel. You're going to have to shorten the chicken loop line, or move the stopper ball down and set it tight.

Having too much depower could result in the kite jellyfishing, or doing other weird things. My Best 4-line c-kite bar has 12.5 inches of chicken loop line from chicken loop to stopper ball (not a sliding stopper ball, a fixed one).

I've also got an 04 or 05 SlingShot Pro-Fire bar that has 10.5 inches of depower measured the same way.

I used the Best bar more frequently because it has a 'chicken bone' (I know what it's called, but I'm keepin things G-rated )

I'm trying to get the slingshot bar but if I can Its good to know what else will work.

I think the 05 Fuel was 5 line ? If it wasn't I highly recommend that you get a fifth line attachment added !!!!

My 1st kites were 4 line. Letting go of the bar was like giving up on the day and accepting a huge line tangle mess! Most often by the time I got to the bar relaunch was impossible due to messed up lines. 5th line cured that problem.

It's also a LOT safer to release to the fifth line on older kites. As birritobandit points out you need to match the chicken loop travel to the kite.
