Definately buggy won. I see blokart was having a hard time to keep up with. :P
Oh, did I mention that it was me driving the buggy with Synergy 10M? :tumble:

buggy would of been even faster if the blokart wasn't in the way. The buggy pilot couldn't drop the kite down low a number of times because the
blokart was in the way.
Those blokarts do look like fun though. I may have to try and get a ride in on at nabx.

Blokart's are ok but they don't hold a candle to the Manta's. Another thing is that the buggy had two people on it, the blokart only had one. Makes
a big difference in performance. Top speed on the (stock) Blokarts is around 45 mph. Can't get much faster than that because of the limited
wheelbase and location of the mast. The buggy could have been much faster with a larger kite and only one passenger. We outrun the Blokart's continuously on the playa, they just can't keep up.

I agree in principal that the buggy would be faster than the blokart but I'm not sure I understand why the second person would slow the buggy down.
In car tests, timed speed runs are best with the least weight possible. but for flat out top speed runs, weight doesn't matter in the least unless you
can say the added weight adds some tire resistance. The added weight would only slow accelleration, not terminal speed. My opinion, am I off base or
is there something I'm not considering?

My guesstamation... correct me if I'm wrong...
The kite is only going to produce so much power, no mater the weight... and it takes more power to move more weight even at speed... I think a power
to weight ratio is applicable, so a bigger kite can be used when the extra weight is there...
I'd add wind resistance and like you mention tire resistance...

If you think Blokarts are fun try a Virus Buggy with a Beach Crusier from Elliot. They have been clocked around 60 mph in Les Hemmes. and the nice
thing is you can take the Beach crusier kit off and then you have a great buggy. I bought my wife one for Christmas and she loves it.
