#3 Jekyll Island
My local Barnes and Noble was a little Late this month with the New "PowerKite" Magazine from UK It's the Dec/Jan 09 and Was reading an Article of Top
5 International Kiting Destinations.
1) Daytona Beach Fl
2) Farno Island, Denmark
3) Jekyll Island GA
4) Lagobianco, Switzerland
5) Gwithian, Cornwall
I was like how come no dry lake beds? then i realized it probably meant Kiting in General like land and sea.
Think i might have to make a trip down to GA this spring:wee:
I have never even met another fellow Powerkiter,,not counting some punk last summer

Jekyll really is nice with low crowds, hard sand and warm water. And Acampbell has the stash just up the road. He comes to play on the beach with
just a hint that you will be there too. Nothing like ripping up and down the beach with 2 other buddies on landboards, 4-6 other buggies zipping
around and 1 or 2 of us in the water on something. It is majestic to see a half dozen kites (our kind) in the sky at the same time having fun. All
the guys that come to join us are great to be around, and share what they have and know. You learn SO much being around others seeing how they do
things. I hope you can make a trip to an event.

keep pimping that site of yours, you'll get the company!
and do make the trip to fly with others, I've only flown with the Vancouver bunch once, it was a bit weird (totally my fault :embarrased but it made me shift the way I look at flying pretty majorly as well as giving me
huge respect for the skills others on the forum have...
best way to learn is from other kiters!
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

Is this available on-line? I'd like to share it with the Jekyll Island Authority. I'll be driving across Florida through Orlando tonight and try to
find a big Barnes & Noble.

I don't think it's online. but it's hard to find i drive 30 min into the next state (Newport Rhode Island) to get it. think it's cause they have
kite surfers there. cause they have tons of Kite Surf Mags too
