Kite Bar compatibility with other kites

I know the R2F kites come with their own set of lines and a bar. However, what is the general compatibility between bars and lines? For instance, I have a Best '09 45 4 line bar with lines. I am planning on getting a Waroo kite at some point, but could I use the bar with other 4 line kites without a problem? like a 8 M Neo kite, or another 4 line kite?

Just by looking at the reviews in mags. like 'Kiteboarding' it looks like many of the bars are nearly identical once you go above the trim strap area, and even the rest of the bars are very similar.

four line bar flies them all (even most fixed bridle foils a limiting factor for most) but much better on handles by far

some tuning knowledge is helpful

knowing the type of kite, attachment points and dynamic flight characteristics allows lots of combinations and cross brand applications

good example bar that acts like handles on the kitesurfer quads

or my favorite..... custom fitted

cross year
cross type
cross brand
cross mod
make it up as you go

but you gotta know what's out there and how it all works and the ability to put it altogether, and fly it.

research this forum.. ton of info with leads to great info and lots of questions

Hi

I have a Waroo bar a year older than yours, but I'm sure yours won't have pulleys on the bar, mine doesn,t. Look at the bar for the kite you want to use your bar on. If it has pulleys on the bar, your Waroo bar might not work to well.
An example would be my Cabrihna Contra, it needs a bar with pulleys on it to fly correctly. I think the pulleys double the steering input.
Hope this helps a bit.

your bar will be fine unless your Waroo is 15/17m which could slow down your turns a bit......best recommends 55cm bars on 13s up but youll be fine.............

I have an 08 55 cm best that has been moded big time...kicks butt on twin skins and could fly a Waroo/Bularoo no problem with the mods....................

as you crossover kites and bars, be mindful of the throw, depower range, and adjust accordingly................
