Wife said "NO"

So, with the baby on the way I'm learning a whole bunch about a whole lot of things like baby joggers. We decided on the Chariot series and much to my delight, what did I learn about them? They have some cool conversion kits......like this one - pull off the front wheel and the two back wheels and:

Buddy your flirting with disaster, pregnant women are like time bombs they can explode at any moment...lol
Made it out Monday very little wind but did get the Century 6.5M up, was nice to see her flying again. Just not enough wind to keep her going, but hey did get a leaf blower for the PL's.

Cheers

hehehehe - that was my barter with her. I told her I'd spare her the fear of the chariot but she couldn't escape the sledge. Our compromise (her victory) was making me promise to wait until our child is old enough to tell me if he/she doesn't want to ; )

we have the chariot as well. i was thinking (not aloud) about tandem when i bought it. i have't given too much though about hooking it up. i'll just get wife to hold Jr in tandom bug until he's old enough to ride tandem alone and then ride his own bug.
he's 2 now so I figure by the end of this summer he'll be buggy jumping:singing::frog: don't want to rush him ya know:singing:

I took one of my old flex buggies - added a uber-wide axle (6ft) - added slick square profile tires - took off the front fork - added a pivoting link and riser to the back axle of my P.L. buggy.

Result... A super stable trailer for my kids - practically impossible to flip (child's center of gravity actually BELOW wheel center line) - super slick tires that don't grip.

The sliding tires and low weight let the trailer move smoothly behind the lead buggy. My youngest especially loves tight accelerating turns that whip the trailer around (like playing "crack the whip", but with buggies) and since the trailer is so light, it takes almost no effort to slide it, even at really slow speeds. The riser lets her sit way low into the seat without dragging. Added to that, the link keep the trailer upright, even in unlikely event that I flipped.

I've even had my daredevil friends ride in it to TRY to flip it around corners (They offered, I didn't ask) but couldn't.

That being said... I make her wear a helmet and padding.... and even then, I keep it slow and cautious. I want her to have fun, not be traumatized.

My youngest is 10, and we'll gone out since she was 5 with no mishaps.

I'll try to dig it out of the garage and get some photos on here soon.
