Hello,
To BeamerBob, I am using a Pansh Ace 5.0. Absolute fun kite. Worked well with my ATB too.
To revpaul, I have the same prob too sometimes. The page loads up with no pictures. Try to refresh the page. It works for me.
More pics to come.

Speaking of the ace and the ATB... I've been flyin' my ace for awhile and I have yet had the ability to get upwind. You say it worked well on the ATB
were you able to get upwind? Flying hooked in, or not?

Hello,
To f0rgiv3n, being that I'm fairly new to ATB I don't know the terminology, but I was able to travel upwind. Progressively carving heel side and in a
Z pattern.

You're scaring me now. Things can go bad fast when you are leveraged that much between high winds and lifty kite. My Crossfire 5m will start lofting
my (230 lbs) at 18.

Does that 5m set you down softly? There' not much material in a 5m to float on when you get that high. The air is impressive but it's always the
landing that I'm most interested in!:bouncing:

:P Hey bob, it's all about keeping the kite in a location where it can't loft you while you set up for the jump. I keep it at the edge of the window
until i'm ready to jump/redirect. mgatc, all jumps were softly landed yesterday
. Again, all about redirecting, this ace is the bomb!! I have flown the ace for awhile and am comfortable in higher winds now that i've had a good
amount of experience with it and gusty winds.
Yes, I have been lofted a few times, the last time I got lofted i landed on my back haha. But, right after that i packed it up: that was upper 20s.
mid 20s are just fine for the ace for me, but as soon as the wind picks up to anything higher it gets scary

The part that scares me is that after you are up in the air, you have an extra 7-9 mph of wind above what is required to loft you. You could end up
in a situation where it doesn't bring you down when or where you want. You could end up having to redirect the kite further away from zenith to get
rid of some lift and that gives you ground speed quickly. Ground speed is what breaks things. Or you could hit the brakes which has an immediate
effect on the ace, so you could come down too fast. I'm sure you've eased into this and know what you're doing. I just come up with too many ways
things can go wrong. Maybe I'm too old to put my a$$ on the line like that. Smooth winds would help with confidence too.

I know, I'm quick to give my opinion. You would be shocked at how many
posts I reply to and then delete before posting because although I enjoyed the dialogue, I frequently decide that the forum isn't better for it so I
just back out.
Be careful out there! Seems like you are dialed in with that Ace.

lol@Schwarzenegger. I fly my ace(especially when I'm jumping) "al natural". I don't like the feel of restriction when turning. I guess after you do it
w/o the harness for so long it doesn't bug you so much. The one other thing about the harness is I have a hard time running upwind with the harness on
because I have a seat harness(however, I just ordered a dakine pyro).
Thanks Phree! Handles are definitely a good workout, I agree with you completely. It was freezing that day(literally@32 degrees F) and I ended the
session sweatin' like crazy.

Well Buds,
Good weather is in and I'm getting good practice in with my Crossfire 8m as well. Hope to get some pics in soon. Most notable about the Crossfire is
the nice long floats on the way down! Not that the Pansh can't accomplish the same with a couple of redirects, but the extra 2 meters on my Crossfire
just really makes a difference. It does require quite a bit different handling because of the bigger slower size, but I'm getting the hang of it. My
Crossfire does tend to overfly a bit from time to time, but that may be due to the bad inland wind I get here. Maybe a little work on the trims will
help a bit too. So I hope to get some pics in soon. Until then, Happy Flying Everybody!!!
Cheers
