Wheel/tire balancing
I put some sawtooth tires on my hub and man they are heavy. they also are not balanced real well, I get considerable wobble when I spin them, I have
not tried riding on it yet but I wanted to know if anyone has advice on how to get those tires balanced right. Btw I put new bearings in using the
freezer, block of wood and hammer technique and it worked great.

sometimes if it's just the seating of the bead, you can let a majority of the air out and ride on it and it will evenly distribute the bead across the
rim, then re-air them up... if it's the tire out of "balance" I would take it to a tire shop and have them balance them due to I have no tricks for
that...

sometimes, i add extra psi and the bead falls into place perfectly
another opinion is lower the psi and bounce the wheel up and down on the spot i'm trying to balance out.

If you put the tires on yourself - try popping the bead and slather them up with some really soapy water - when you air them up they will "pop" into
place (you will have to air them up pretty good to have them do this).
we all believe is called the expansion

A bike shop trick is to use Windex on the bead edges when inflating. The tire bead will seat easily, but then evaporates.

According to wikipedia, amonia can attack rubber so I would not recommend windex for the tires. soapy water is probably best

Hey Sailors,
I was waiting to see if anyone would mention this...
When airing up new tires (or completely flat) take the tire off the buggy and lay it on ground.
Vertical tires can allow the rim to settle down and the tire will be off-center
Laying the tire out horizontally allows you to keep the rim centered.
