I know on most other forums when I reply to a thread, I am notified when others respond in the same thread, this is usually the default.

However when I make a post on this forum, I never know if anyone replied unless i go back to the thread and check. Is there an option somewhere in my control panel/profile settings where I can enable this?

I never subscribed to a thread, but you can click on "todays posts" and scan for threads in the order they were posted to. You can set it to do that for multiple days if you miss for awhile. This is the best way to not miss something you would be interested in. Hope this helps a bit.

You should see a checkbox at the bottom of the reply screen that says "Receive e-mail on reply" or something like that. Note - this is only in the full "Post Reply" screen, not the quick reply at the bottom of the screen.

Or at the top of the current thread page (when your reading the thread), there is a like that says "Subscribe" just above the first post.

ahh, right on!!! thanks!!! most forum sites I frequent have an option in the user profile where you can select to be notified on every thread you reply to.

Cool. I didn't know about the subscribe link - thanks! Now I don't have plop down any token posts to subscribe.

Not that I'm trying to lower my odds but I over use subscribe on the for sale fourm...

The subscribe and add to favorites links are at the top-left of every thread. Subscriptions show up in your member profile. I am not sure if an email is sent for subscriptions - that's the difference between a forum and a mailing list.

You may request email notification each time you submit a post or reply. The option is near the bottom of the post/reply form.

If you request notifications, MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS REMAINS UP-TO-DATE in your profile. We receive return notifications each and every time someone has requested a notification and later changed their email address.
