new personal speed record

I just beat my speed record today. old was 50.3, new one is 51.4mph. winds were about 25-30mph at ocean beach and the new hardcore buggy made me alot more comfortable at that speed.

I was flying a jojo 3m rm+, and yes it did eat up the beach pretty quickly. going upwind was a real pain with winds like that. I got a lot of side pull.

With yesterday's weather, wasn't the beach crowded?
My local kite field was. I could have hit that speed too.:yes:
It starting to get really nice. I think tomorrow condition will even be better than yesterday's.

Congrats on the new record!

It was crowded, but then when the winds really started to blow and it got colder there were less people on the beach, I just had to do a bit of weaving. At Ocean beach you get used to avoiding the people, its the other kites and dogs that are the problem.

I think it was your new high-speed low-drag kiting jumpsuit that made you go 1.1mph faster!

Yes - congratulations - I was biting at your heals though most of the day but I dropped the ball and quit early as the winds popped over the 30's. Next time. Again you pushed fate and earned a new record - congratulations.

Sadly I only clocked 44.8 - gotta rebuild my front end to get rid of the wiggles.

yeah, I definately want to try and go faster at nabx this year, with the hardcore I figure I should not have a problem. That hardcore is a very stable buggy.

I did feel like I was testing fate, I went for a few more runs after I broke my record, every time telling myself "just one more"
