CHECK THIS OUT!!! X4MB

O.K. everyone...
Here is a X4MB (X4 Mountain Board) from SVS Engineering, They are prototypes, fully suspended mountain boards and there are currently 4 of them and 2 of them have breaks (The 2 with brakes have adjustable pre-load nuts on the suspension springs)... My cuz is the engineer (designer) of the X4MB... He can take custom orders but would be unable to start production until June or later due to a major move to Alaska... as for the price, unsure... I'd guess probably double the best MTB price if not more...
Here is a lil taste of it...

My cuz claims that you can bomb rocks and not feel'em... currently they have only been used for downhill rides... If I can get my hands on one I'll post a review... and maybe get a pass the X4MB program, hhhmmmmm... never know!!!

He doesn't use bindings at all, but if he designed this I don't think that option wouldn't be hard to add... as for the gold rims, I think he used a 10" pneumatic tire already mounted up on those rims and bearings, similar to, if not the ones from harbor freight...
My cuz and I used to make a 56cc chainsaw powered mountain board with hydrolic disc breaks back in the day, then he moved to Jersey and he morphed it into this... I got another photo with it in the turning position I'll try and post later... as I get more info and photos I'll get them up also...

Got some more photos for everyone, exciting stuff...

I'll post links due to it helps the thread open faster...

Here is a photo in the turning position... I'm working on a different photo that shows the actual angle of the wheels so one can see the possibilities... it has the same turning action as a set of conventional MTB/ATB trucks...
Turning

This is a photo of the newer stainless lower swing arm...
Lower SS Swing Arm

The next 3 are of the break system, doesn't really apply to us kiters but the design is pretty sick, notice the Hydrolic breaks are Magura mountain bike breaks...

Lets not get all excited about any kind of pass around yet, I haven't even got my hands on one yet:ticking:...:wee:

reminds me of the BMW street carver.

looks like radial swing arms from an ATV.

BRAKE

dimensions/scale/weight ... looks large

truck centered turn axis?

very hard to tell in the pictures

have to demo to buy esp considering four digit money.

looks like it would squat maybe a1/3 of suspension, i assume you can dial in rigidity ,

board flexion could be absent , more like a trampoline feel than board flex/pop. i would drop the small tires and use an atv light set on (really soft) sand dunes..... maybe 12-15" so it would float out like an atv. I WOULD NEED TO TRY IT.

......HELLO

THAT FRESH TOOL NEEDS TO BE GIVEN LIFE

sorry folks I haven't been in here lately...
I just talked with my cuz yesterday and he's headed to Alaska next month and mentioned bringing it down or shipping to me... he's keeping an eye on this thread but not a member yet to answer questions, I'll hit him up for some of the answers, I think he's gonna have to get to Alaska to get some of the technicals you all are looking for... glad there is so much interest, again, sorry I haven't been in here... I'll put and email alert on this thread...

I'd take the pro 90 deck, hook it up with these trucks, twistar hubs and t3 treads! That would be a sick ride. My one worry would be weight. Do you have some specs so we can compare to normal trucks? anyway my two cents:dunno:
