On about my 3rd attempt out alone on the water. I was learning in the shallows and one of the best riders in town couldn't help but show off . The 1st
time he came in to tease me I thought , jumping in 6-8 " of water is wrong. I'm just to new to know why ?
Sure as shootin' the next trip in he tossed it even higher about 15 feet and tried a twist. He landed tip down as he hit the water. His board jammed
in the sand and his ACL blew out. Todays lesson. Jump in waist deep water and avoid the urge to show off close to shore. There are a few examples in
this vid, of close calls with bad landings.
The kind of float that You and I aspire to though !
The time out before that I sent myself 500 yards downind in a multi kite loop. Busting a rib . That days lesson , allow as much space downwind as
possible.
At this point I was starting to re-think kiteboarding !
