thanx for the reply ! ime not focusing on any particular discipline of kiting ! i enjoy anything with speed, big air and adrenaline ! the 4m kite i
bought to start with was so cheap it didnt have a brand name on it !! it seems to have a decent bit of pull as it will pull me across the field
sitting on my backside ! then i dont have any prior experience to compare it with ! i also have a home modified mountain board ! which i can pick up a
little bit of speed on ! the kite seems to pull me ok but carnt seem to get it to lift ! ( that could be due to me ?) is there a differance between
pulling force of a kite and lifting force ?

YES,
Some kites produce more pull than lift. Often that is the case with basic models.
A 4m kite isn't exactly big enough to jump with anyway. It will lift you but drop you just as quick. It is a good size for exactly what you are using
it for. Getting started.
Is this kite a 2 line or 4 line ? On a bar or handles ?
Check your U2U messages I sent you a link.

Handles will offer you more individual control of the brakes. Play with just turning the kite with brake input and see how it reacts. This is sort of
how the kite will steer when you progress to depower kites.
The bar is nice for riding ATB one handed and just generally keeping things simple but you lose a certian amount of fine control.
A harness will allow you to fly for long periods without getting tired out. Something to consider ?
